No. There are titles that were 50 then that are 50 today. But yes there are a lot that have had the big jump.
There are lots of 100 dollar cibs that don't get 500 sealed though. Look at it this way, sealed demon's crests have not sold for much more despite being 4x as valuable cib.
I was being facetious when saying "any" title, but the point is I could name titles all day long that have had tremendous jumps in the past 5 years, especially NES and SNES. Run Saber at $500 didn't shock me at all, I figured it was going $400 minimum for sure.
Geez is a Super Turrican 2 box really worth $170? (what his sold for) I have one laying around but I'd be motivated to sell it if it was worth near that.
Only in the HoS for backing out of an auction that he thought sold too low. Curious though. Slash man wasn't a heavy hitting collector if I remember correctly. I would find it very hard to believe that he had either NWC in his possession. Perhaps a different Slash Man?

The seller has been responsive and courteous in his replies. Strong feedback through ebay recently. I would say if he is listing anything and it were to be fake it would not be by his intent. In the past I bought graded items and had them regraded as qualified/restored items........just my 2cents but to each is own. Very pissed about regraded items.....as altered."...... golds nwc will always be questioned to a certain degree. Only a very few with history will not leave questions. Happy new year everyone!
If I'm not mistaken, the NES-EVENT cartridge board was only used on competition carts, which in this case are extremely rare and impossible to get from a common donor cart. To me, both NWC carts listed are 100% real. Whether the seller has them in real life is difficult to say, but at least his other auctions are looking credible.
first it has to be paid for. Pretty sure I know who this is and the last time they listed it, it went for 29k and was not paid for.
Until there's positive feedback or the buyer is public I'm not sure I trust any reported sale more than 5k or 10k on ebay these days. Too many losers that like ruining auctions out of spite since they can do so freely now.
The bid history looks pretty good though so hopefully its OK.
I figured this was at least $20-$25k. $26k doesn't seem bad at all considering the gray went from $6500 to about $17.5k at the peak of the insanity. Honestly expected more here.
Nothing surprising here...been telling everyone these are going to keep going up.
Not that I'm saying you're wrong, but you are a bit based in this situation.
I understand why you might say that but you got it all wrong.
When your son plays football for the local high school team and you say that your son could be a player in the NFL then you may have to say that you are biased.
Jason had a strong feeling on an item that he did not own and then followed up on it. He learned all about it ,tracked down the owners and bought every one of them before most people even knew that they existed. That is not bias, that is conviction. Jason wasn't a winner in the contest and he didn't get one directly from Nintendo for being an employee. Jason only has a Gold NWC because he perhaps before anyone else knew that it was going to be what it is today. His "bias" is a strong feeling that he had long before he ever owned one or he wouldn't own one today.
And now he has a thread trying to sell it for $100,000... I think that's what the "bias" was about.
I'm not "trying" to sell it for $100,000. If someone wants one like with anything I have, there it is. I mean, if it was on ebay for best offer I bet this wouldn't have come up? LOL =D
If you knew your history the forum members have a habit of saying I am "high" on certain pricing for these items. Go back 6-7 years when people thought I was nuts on ebay asking for $7500 for a gray NWC when I was selling it for a company I worked for.
I mean, many members of this forum have stuff on eBay high at best offer for sealed stuff out of control. No reason to confuse me and the one thread I have for the two carts. I've had threads like that for years but they update. I've had the gold cart at 25K, 50K, 100K, gray cart at 10K, 15K, 25K.
People start contacting me for the "previous" pricing quite often as they see the market goes up.
Also keep in mind my stuff does not need to be verified or "taking a chance" on like some others prospective sellers.
Regardless this is nothing new with me having it at the changed prices or what not, it's only new if you haven't paid attention lol...

Alright dude, I don't have an issue with you, but its pretty obvious what you're doing. If you aren't "trying" to sell, why are you bumping your thread? Is that not the definition of "trying" to sell? Do I think your price is absolutely outrageous? Yes, I do. Are you free to ask any price you want? Yes, you are. You have one for sale, which means you have a bias and a motive to push that it is more expensive than it is. One sells for $26k, and you think your $100k price is good? All because "it doesn't need to be verified"? Lol Your opinion isn't worth $74k. Sorry. If you had one that you weren't selling, then maybe you could say you don't have a bias, but when you have one that you are actively trying to sell for much higher than anyone would consider reasonable, yes, you have a bias. For the record, I can appreciate that you tracked a ton of these down but I have zero interest in ever owning one. I just want that known before the "you're just jealous I have the game and you don't" comment.

Wow. Look at how crooked the label is. Seems to be legit though.
That's what I thought. Seems this person is selling 3 nwc carts which is odd. BTW Happy Birthday

Can't you say the same (as in jumping considerably) about almost any title from years ago? Run Saber has been $100+ as a CIB for close to 2 years now.

anybody know this dude? seems out of nowhere.
I talk to him on eBay and he said his not a NA member and is selling the games so he can collect other things

I'm actually more curious to see what this one goes for than the gold. Wish that top label wasn't missing.
