I'm re-boxing all my games. I've got a question. Do the sleeves with Nintendo written in red just go with games released by Nintendo, and the plain black ones go with the third-party stuff?
Yep, which is why I'm always puzzled as to why people are willing to pay more for the red logo ones. You need LOTS of non-logo ones for a truly "correct" collection
I should also point out that there are two different "red" versions: non-foil and foil (or matte and shiny). Some of the later Nintendo releases came with the foil version, such as Kirby's Adventure and a few others.
We're working on that as we speak -- that's what the_wizard_666's list of sealed contents will eventually answer, and since I'm opening close to 200 games (along with the other 100 or so he had on his list), we should have a good start. The new system will have the game contents on each game page (if it's known).
Not at first -- I haven't been able to bring myself to opening the really rare ones (what few I have). BTW, we've only verified 3 "foil" sleeves thus far:
One more question, Dain. When folding an NES box back together, what is the correct order to fold the bottom back? Is it, Two side flaps, then flap with notch cut out, then the remaining flap?
I use two hands to press the flap that has a left and right outer flap down first (long side), tuck in the outside flaps second, then push the other long side flap in third.
I think there are a couple people that still have some large quanities of the spacers for sell. cue warrior is where i got mine I bought in bulk so they were 20 cents each
