I didn't see it, so I beat double dragon V. But looks like brock already got it. POS game anyways, I set it up to pro after not getting an ending, and while I did get an ending, it sucked balls.
I was going to start either Brandish or Ogre Battle today, but I just scored a copy of Robotrek locally for $6.50(!). Any of you guys played it? The short summaries I read sounded promising.
I keep thinking of hitting Ogre Battle, I don't own it and never did, but I beat it as a rental. Seeing how rentals cost $1.5/day that I didn't beat them, and I was paying for it myself, I had to beat the games quick of give up.
But I also have a shit ton of work around the house to do now too, got me some weeds to kill (Love me some 2-4D) and a bunch of chain sawing. And trying to remove this damned bamboo the last people here planted.
finally finished Super Mario All Stars + World today, getting through Lost Levels without warping was a pain. not sure if it counts for regular Super Mario All Stars or not (only difference being the inclusion of World which I cleared in January), but at least one of them is done
Well if it makes you guys feel any better I just played through an entire season of Tecmo Super Bowl with the Cowboys. I started out 15-0, and then I got ass royally beat in the final regular season game, and my first playoff game. I swear the computer starts cheating.
Oh, and you have to press buttons to get manually get through the simulating of every. single. other. game.
In other news, today in New Horizons, I sailed to China by sailing all the way around the North of Russia. I should have this game finished as soon as I get some free time.

So many wasted hours.
I was like 4-5 hours into uncharted waters on nes when I went outside to weed eat. Came back to find my ship was still sailing, everyone was dead, and I never once saved my game.
There are 16 difficulty settings (2 beginner, and 14 more), plus lots of other options.
I can win a game on the first setting (the one that isn't a beginner).
Also, is there an ending on Super Caesar's Palace? You can become a "high roller" and access the higher limit games, but I haven't been able to find anything that describes an ending (can't even find a manual).

Usually it's beating the game on the lowest difficulty, though I personally think the minimum should at least be one of the non-beginner settings. I recently took a shot at Level 9 and eventually lost, but I've beaten Levels 1-8 in the past (though not yet today this year) and was planning to take it out.
Here's my 2-ALL of Axelay, starting on hard mode: Video
What an awesome game, can't believe I missed out on it all these years. The final stage is one of the best levels I've ever experienced in a shump. It's probably a bit too easy (especially if you start on normal), and the scoring system is broken, but this game definitely deserves its reputation as being on of the best on the SNES.
Spoiler: There isn't much story to this game but it appears that the pliot's family was killed by the aliens (it's unclear if the hero is a child or adult in the opening scene). The hero final comes back to exact revenge and annihilate the entire enemy fleet in the final stage. The music, level design, and build up to the final boss is superb, something that is rarely done with this level of finesse.

When I beat Chessmaster a few years ago I just studied a few chess youtube videos and used some of the tactics in them. The computer usually can't keep up.

On Beginner 1 or 2, maybe, but Chessmaster is a fairly tough customer on higher difficulties. It tends to repeat the same openings, and I've found a pawn sacrifice that tempts the CPU into a crummy position, but I'm not sure it'll hold up on Level 9 or higher.
I took down Congo's Caper today. I failed to take a picture, mostly because I was too excited about finally beating that REALLY HARD trio of bosses. I will say, though, that I enjoyed how pattern-based they were. Once I got into a rhythm, I could take each one down without taking a hit.
Brandish is complete. I really had a fun time with it too. Most of the game was a cakewalk once you get some magic, and an unbreakable weapon, and the graphics were pretty mediocre at best, but I loved every minute of it. Possibly the only Rogue-like released in the US for SNES?
Maybe 50% Rogue-like, 50% typical dungeon-crawling action-RPG. It's not turn-based, doesn't have randomly generated levels, permanent death, etc. But it just ... feels like one to me. Maybe a proto-Rogue-like?

It's not in the screenshot but the next line of the ending was total deaths (somewhere in the high 80s). Most of those were to the damn lobsters!

Is it better than Lord of the Rings?
Judging by the 5 minutes I've put into LotR, yes, by a wide margin

Got a lottery ticket on my first hand, and it was a winner, so was a hell of a start.

Yea I meant stakes. I missed you beating it cause it wasn't updated yet. That sucks, two games in one night, both were already beat.
