How many loops can you get on Kung Fu....?

Playing Kung fu tonight...been actually playing this title since the 80s...farthest loop I can get to is 4, made it to loop 5 years ago, but never again...those damn knife throwers, and Tom Toms go berserk after your ass after loop 2...



How many loops are there..? Is there a final ending..does Thomas ever finally get to peacefully be with his lady, without being harrassed by Mr. X and his gang..?

I haven't gotten that far,(yet) but I think eventually Mr. X regenerates his health so quickly you can't kill him,so it's essentially a kill screen.

My best is Loop 13. I keep thinking that I can marathon this thing, but then I remember the Magician bosses. Random deadliness that eventually gets you.



Mr X can be tough, but not sure if he ever gets to "kill screen" tough.

Mr X can be tough, but not sure if he ever gets to "kill screen" tough.

Agree with the magician being deadly , he is the hardest part of the whole game. sometimes you walk right up and pound him in the chest and sometimes he double fireballs you in the face

i only found out last year you can punch the fireballs he throws for big points but it is a losing battle as soon as you start punching the straight ones he throws one at your knees

I love this game, but I can't loop it more than two or three times. I'm lucky to make it past the second loop Magician.

Seems like it would be straightforward to play the game with an invincibility Game Genie cheat and see if Mr X ever gets to the point of virtual invulnerability.
