Family Fun Fitness Athletic World Rarity

As of the time of my post, at least 4 of these little buggers (the FFF version) can be bought of ebay for less than $10 a piece shipped.  Therefore, I'm concluding that the cartridge, while being the rarer of the Athletic World Cartridges is actually not that rare at all.  I do not disagree about the manual or the box...I just feel this cartridge is out there more often than people realize.

  • It's rated here as a 5 but I would almost say its a 4, they are on ebay very often and can be purchased fairly cheap.

  • A 5 is really considered "average", anything less is on the more common side, anything higher is on the rarer side, so I think 5 is about right really.

    agreed
  • A stash of sealed copies was found years ago. Hundreds I believe.
  • Dain, this brings up a question.  Are the rarity ratings updated on a regular basis?  Or have they pretty much stayed the same since the site started?
  • I update them where I think they've change, but I don't go through record-by-record on a regular basis. At one point we had a thread where everyone could chime in and suggest rarities, but that fizzled pretty quickly (largely in part due to me not keeping up with it and also a lack of participation). I ultimately decided to go through them and put them at where I felt they belonged and since then, we've had pretty good feedback on their relative accuracy. That said, I encourage anyone to suggest rarity changes -- never hurts and the worse that can happen is we collectively agree or disagree.
  • I have also changed a few here or there in the database, but I think 98% of them are about dead on with the current market.

  • when i say this post i went to e-bay to buy a family fun & fitness version of this game but then checked my copy and it was one in perfect condition so im gonna buy the regulay 1 now.
  • Anyone remember when was the last time the FFF Athletic World box was available on eBay and how much it went for?
  • Well.... not too long ago, and there's a bit of soreness around here regarding it. I'll let those involved speak to that end, but it went for I think around $600 or so with a bunch of other CIB games. I'm sure someone here will know for sure, but it wasn't cheap!
  • I bought it. I paid 565.00 for it and 53 others. By the time I sold the extras and kept the ones I needed, i would say I paid about 340 for it.
  • Hell, I would probably trade it to Braveheart for a shit ton of other boxes and manuals I need. I thought about it when I first bought it, but it came in so damn mint.
  • Hey Dain,
I just wanted to know if you have a rarity list in Excel form or something like that. I love the list as it is on the site, but as far as quickly viewing it really doesnt work for fools like me who are still on dial up.
The reason I ask is that when I catalogue my collection, I use Excel, and have different categories of information about the cart (condition, where I got it, price paid, etc.), alot like Jasons list. I also add a rarity grade, which is based off of Mike Etlers list. I have found this to be pretty outdated. If not, no big.
  • I thought about adding excel export to the search results, but decided I was going to add that to the collection tool instead where you can export the entire thing.
