  • Skylanders Superchargers even cheaper at EB Games....$14.99. They have the Dark Edition for $39.99 as well
  • Some new variations of the big box amiibo/game combos. I'm seeing blue and pink woolly world sets, captain toad with toad amiibo, Mario party with either bowser or peach. All release on September 9th. Gonna be an expensive day for variation collectors!!

Yea, I'm glad I didn't try for all variants. I will probably grab the Big Box Captain Toad at some point because I liked the game and have most/all of the games in big box version.

  • Ya I agree, I've been grabbing some collectors editions / variants here and there if they are cheap or on clearance. There is way too many
  • I grabbed the Blue Yoshi special edition of Woolly World. A game and an Amiibo for $49 is pretty good.
  • I didn't realize the bundles were $49 in Canada. Pretty sure the Yoshi game is still $64.99 brand new. Not a bad deal
  • The Bayonetta 2 reprint is now selling for $15 at certain Target stores. YMMV of course.
  • Apparently there are a bunch of new variants with an Amiibo notation on them. Don't have a complete list yet.
  • I think Nintendo is pretty much done with the Wii U. With more and more games coming out for the 3DS (Pikmin and Wooly World) and the NX around the corner I'd say we won't see much increase in the library. I suspect Zelda will likely be the last big title from Nintendo with a couple more Skylanders, Just Dance, and a few other ports. Also with the recent release of 'select' titles they'll just milk what they can from what's left of the system.

Yea, they have definitely been stretching the little content they have as far as they can. Updates, DLC, and ports galore. Hopefully, it's to make sure they have a steady stream of compelling software for the NX. Wish they would announce NX as I'm pretty excited to see what it is but will miss my Wii U

  • The Wii U other than indie releases and paper mario getting completely ignored this fall and winter. I figured theyd release something for the damn thing in november/december that theyd announce before the NX announcement, but I guess not. Once the NX is announced the Wii U pretty much dies.

Looks like my 170-175 estimation for wii u will be close to correct after all. I was hoping I was going to be wrong. This set wil be larger than the master system atleast

Just waiting for price drops on my last 5 now I guess:  mario luigi combo disc, mario sonic rio, and the two latest lego games, and Tokyo Mirage. Since not much is coming out besides the budget smaller stuff.
  • So Runbow is no longer available on Amazon. Was it cancelled? Another new game popped up for sale though, Steamworld Collection which is set to release Oct. 11. I'll update the list when I get time.

October 18th release date. I have mine preordered on best buy. Still up there as of right now.

Shantae and Tumblestone come out at the end of this month
  • Shantae got pushed back 6 weeks.
  • Anyone hear any news on FAST Racing Neo? Supposedly a physical version including the upcoming DLC is coming out in Europe, but I haven't seen any listings at US retailers. I am really hoping it gets released over here.
  • List updated with changed dates and updated titles.

Yeah that game looks awesome, and the reviews are great for it. It's the FZero we've all wanted.
  • It's already in the Wii U shop. It's a really fun game, but it's tough as hell on the higher difficulty. It's insanely fast... like, incredible. You more or less have to be thinking one turn ahead at all times and on top of that you must collect boost gems along the way while switching phases.
  • I've been collecting and playing Wii U since June now and just hit the 50 games mark over the weekend with some Labor Day Sales.  Thought I'd share with this group.  I'm having a ton of fun with it.

  • Disney's Planes (not Fire & Rescue) seems to be going up a bit in price. I also see that there is one with a 'Free Movie' ticket sticker on it. Never seen that before today when I was browsing eBay during work.

I'm starting to think more or less every shovelware game that was released in the first year of the Wii U will become somewhat tough to find down the road... obviously some more than others.

Yea, I think it was clear pretty quickly to Publishers that Wii U wasn't catching on like they hoped. The games were ready to ship so the Publishers released them with short print runs and hoped for the best. Think there will be quite a few licensed games that are difficult to find from the early years.
  • I went into my local Walmart this morning and they had cleared out the Wii U case. All of the Wii U signage was still up, but all of the games and consoles were off the shelves in the case. I'm gonna go back in the morning and see if anything changes, but I wonder f theyre getting ready to start purging stuff.

Rearrangind for the Holidays??? With only a few Wii U titles releasing I'd say they may be giving that space to another console for the holidays. Especially considering NX will be releasing after the holidays so no reason to keep the Wii U space anyway.

  • Maybe they are going to give part of the space in that case to 3DS/DS/Wii games as well. Since Walmart clearances games on a store-by-store basis, perhaps it's part of the manager's decision to clearance some Wii U games.
  • My Walmart has just as many new Wii games as Wii U. Both are severely limited stock and an absolute mess compared to xbone and Ps4. I reckon a purge for the latest release games will come soon (lego/avengers Star Wars, barbies puppy mill, kung fu panda, etc. )

This could actually be the reason. When I went back, the Wii U case was still empty and this time, they had cleared out 2 rows of 3DS games and had actually taken out the physical shelving.

I'm gonna check in again this weekend and see how things progress.

If anything changes, please keep us posted. May be a sign of things to come but even if not it will be interesting.

  • No one has mentioned that the Disney Infinity Starter Sets are now $14.99 at Game Stop so allow me to be the first. Might be a good time to scoop them up cheap.

Wouldn't it be significantly cheaper to just buy a new copy of Shovel Knight and get it graded yourself? I don't understand the thinking behind buying really any Wii U game already graded, unless you absolutely could not track down a sealed copy otherwise. Most if not all who VGA grade games do so in hopes of turning a profit. Games that are worth $20 new and sealed suddenly get WILD pricetags attached to them once they're in that acrylic case.

  • Because grades on games tgat have been circulated are going to be worse. Sending in a case to get uncirculated grades is what new sealed game people would want.
