I don't want to either, but suffice to say maninpulation of supply and intentional creation of a market bubble, along with several other things.
Source? If LRG is honest about how many copies are produced, and when/where they will be sold, what buyers choose to do with their own copies is not LRG's responsibility.
I would love more quality games (i.e. not Just Dance) as long as they were released in a non-BS way. I'm disappointed we didn't get Fast Racing Neo and Axiom Verge in the U.S. as normal releases. But yeah no more Just Dance please
I never thought I'd see people wanting no more games for a dying console.
The only people who don't want more games for the Wii U are people with full sets who worry that a game might come out that they can't get which would prevent them from keeping their full set. There is absolutely no other reason to feel that way. If you don't like Just Dance, you don't have to buy it. There is no reason to hope it doesn't get released.
It's no different than the people complaining that LRG is releasing too many games. There is no reason why they shouldn't release as many games as possible. But people get pissed because they want a full set without breaking the bank. Sorry, but if you want to be a full set collector, be prepared to pay the price.

Partly true. I would like more games. Just not just dance and skylanders. Already missing JD 2017 and 2018. Please no 19.
An LRG release like Project Zero for the Wii U would be great. It's a console that desperately needs more interesting games to collect, and an exclusive, limited print, super late horror release would be one!
Bring on more Just Dance though! Wii U is the console with the largest percentage of its library as Just Dance games. More JDs can only solidify that lead for the future.
I never thought I'd see people wanting no more games for a dying console.
I just don't want a pointless release just for the sake of LRG making a few extra dollars. If it's a great release I am all for it. I just feel like some of these companies take advantage of the collecting community with the limited stock strategy as people will scramble to buy these games for the sole reason of them being limited. Not my cup of tea.
Crazy story, but shouldn't be surprising. Gamestop had a deal recently on $9.99 games and I bought 24 Wii U games for around $75. Wanted to play a few with my son. Got them in and tested them and 11 of the 24 didn't work. If you are collecting, be careful buying from Gamestop...especially if buying online. They resurface almost everything.
Am I just making this up in my head or do I remember reading that Axium verge for Wii U physical has already been produced but they just can't find a retailer that is willing to distribute?
I knocked Skylanders Imaginators off my list. Now I only need Just Dance 2018 for my set. I found the full starter set, not portal owners pack, at walmart for $10. Here is the brickseek link if anyone else is interested. https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=52386305 My zip code is 14226 and only one store had it at that price so YMMV
The only people who don't want more Wii U Games are collectors with full sets? That would be the exact people being targeted then
We all know how to pounce on a LRG pre-order window, it's not difficult. A company putting out a game simply to take advantage of collectors collecting is about as blatant as it gets.
Do you guys consider the Wii U Lenses Cleaning Kit part of the collection?
It's an accessory. I have 2 PAL and 2 JP copies, but understand the US one is hard to come by. The only way I got the PAL copy was using Nintendo Germany's online store and even that was a faff and a half.
I keep reading that people are missing Just Dance 2018 to complete their sets. Is it that it's hard to find or are you guys just waiting for a better price?

lol waiting on a better price. I havent paid more than 10 for any of those titles. Most for 6-8. Same reason I never bought cars, skylanders imaginators or just dance 2017.
Waiting on a good clearance on paper mario still. I want sub 20
They probably did but they make an exception for Ubisoft since they're one of Nintendo's biggest third party supporters, so much that they even stuck with them during the Wii U's darkest days
Sweet! I'm excited for any new Wii U releases. Was anyone else hoping they'd show a Wii U game during the Limited Run Games e3?
They said in the Livestream chat after the presentation that the game they were working on was with a European developer(?) and they ran into issues along the way. I guess it's still an ongoing issue because they couldn't really discuss it, but it's a bit of a sore spot for them and it's not looking like they will be doing Wii U games anytime soon.
I guess the question is what was the game? I know Fast Racing Neo got an EU release so that is the only thing I can think of.

Thanks, I missed that. Interesting information. Too bad they couldn't work something out. It seems like it's too late for them to begin releasing Wii U stuff. People used to talk about releasing Fatal Frame but to me it would have seemed hard to get a license for that big of a game. It's interesting because the Vita was able to build up a cult following while the system was still alive but the Wii U will likely get more interest later after its long gone and out of the realm of possibility for lrg releases.
In related news, Best Buy has Just Dance 2018 Wii U for $19.99, or $15.99 if you still have GCU. That's the cheapest I've seen it so I went ahead and grabbed it. Now I have the full set again... until October...

It may go down further but haven't seen it lower yet.
