Tried to take a lot of pictures. Box defintely has some wear, but still displays pretty well and still has the hangtab. Manual has a bend from being stuffed awkwardly into the box. Cart is near mint. I would rate the box probably 7/10.
this may be a stupid question but is that hang tab stuck on the back of the box. and if so, do you think it could be removed without damaging it at all? I have had some nes games like that and everytime i tried to remove it resulted in failure (ripped cover artwork). I have never tried with game boy games though which is why i am asking.
They can be removed, but I'm not exactly sure how you do it. I know because I sold a Lamborghini American Challenge that clearly had one removed. It didn't rip but it did leave a waviness in the area where it had been present. You can see what I'm describing here:
Whether or not it can be removed without ripping the artwork really depends on if someone tried to improperly remove it before. If someone has, then probably not. I haven't tried removing one myself, because the only game I have that has a hangtab like that on the box someone before me tried to remove, and the adhesive ripped the artwork while they were trying to get it off.
If I were to try, I'd heat it up with a hairdryer as much as I could before I started to try and peel it off. That has worked with tough stickers for me in the past, like the half-dollar size security stickers. However, no guarantee it would work, and that's a pricey game to try that on...It'll also still leave those waves like ones in the pic Jonebone provided.
Thanks for all the support! I am legit surprised it has not sold yet myself. Any lower than this and I would probably just keep it. If anyone is interested I could use a Chip n Dale 2 if someone wanted to to a partial trade.
