Theres a link, I haven't seen a demo/not for resale console in my couple of years of collecting..any ideas on prices? I know a normal console you'll get $40 all day..

  • I chatted with this guy not to long ago, he has been selling quite a few NFR Zelda OOT and grey DK NFR. It seems a bit fishy to me, anyone have any input on whether he is pumping out fakes?
  • I thought the same too, but i just saw another not for resale console a couple of days ago as well..which to me increased the validity of this being a semi-rare item
  • Seems reallllly fishy to me!
  • Well, the ROM would be different on the DK64 NFR cartridge at least. So can definitely test if that one is a fake, not sure about the other two though.
  • I wouldn't risk it to be honest. If you go back through his listings, he has sold the exact same Zelda NFR and DK NFR 3-4 times each, exact same photos and everything.
  • Another console with similar markings. I chatted the seller and this was a display used at a walmart store, as indicated on the DK sticker.

Reallyyyy interested to see what you all think. I see a lot of you are sketched out by it, but seeing two of these now they seem pretty legitimate.
    Please chime in with comments/thoughts
  • Same photos for all of his auctions on what should be high priced items. I wouldn't touch this stuff with a ten foot pole.
  • From my experience with the seller and looking at this topic, I would trade with caution. I did win a NFR Super Mario Bros DS cart. After 7 days, there was no shipping notice or update, so I messaged him as sometimes people ship the item, but never update it on eBay. After a day, he contacted me and said he was so sorry and said my item did not ship. It took him another couple of days until he finally shipped it. He did give me a refund and another NFR resale game and a nice letter stating his apologies. That is what led me to leave positive feedback.

Based on that cart, it is real and not fake compared to another Super Mario Bros NFR cart I have. It has normal wear and all of the Nintendo elements on it.

Seems some other people had the same problem with the seller of him not shipping the items right away. He also posted the same exact listing again selling another Super Mario Bros with the same pictures. It just could be he has a lot of them and is just recycling the photos? Some sellers of NFR tend to have a mass amounts of different carts.

There was another seller who had a lot of Zelda A link to the Past and Mario Dream Team Demo carts and kept auctioning them off. Another one had straight flushes of Super Smash Bros demos.

Hope this helps out a bit on your decision.
