Need some Firefox help

Ok, so anymore Firefox will not leave me signed into sites, like NA.  Until just before I had to take my computer in to get fixed I had no problems with this.  Now everytime I go to a site I have to log into it, which really isn't a big deal, but it is so much nicer to already be signed in, especially on your own computer.  Anyone know what might be the problem?

Oh, and before anyone asks, no, my browser is not set to clear private data when it closes, and even if it was, the password option is not checked.

    do you have cookies enabled? what awas wrong with your computer that it needed to be fixed?

    cookies are enabled, I was crawling with creepy crawlers. Too much damn porn!

    ^ I now use IE exclusively for such unsavory endeavors, leaving firefox essentially evilcookie-free. Much easier than manually deleting the ones from a... certain time frame.

    Do you have any cookies listing in your "Exceptions" list?

    Go to Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > Exceptions

    Also be sure you have "Accept Cookies from Sites" checked, "Accept 3rd party cookies" checked and have  "they expire" selected for "keep until".

    yeah, I have done all of that too Dain. Is it possible that for some reason they expire on my computer for Firefox every time I close down the browser?

    burdger, that happened to me the whole time i was on the site before the latest update and now i stay logged in.. I know that doesn't help you but i figured i'd toss in my 2 cents

    You didn't by chance load any privacy software recently, such as Crap Cleaner, or one of those other 3rd-party programs that removes these for you automatically, did you?

    I don't think so. unless windows security for Vista does that for me automatically

    try saving what you need from firefox then reinstalling a fresh copy?

    Yep. It's a nifty (free) program, too. It's been around for years and is rock solid. I highly recommend it.
