not sure if its a hispanic thing, but 90 percent of people in my neighborhood keep them up year round including myself. just on the house though, we tear our tree down new years day.
Oh cause chupaskabra is a redneckwoman he/she keeps his/her Christmas lights up all year round... then something about buying your bras at Wal Mart... yadda yadda yadda...

^^^^^I remember going to Venezuela this summer and noticing this Christmas display of Santa climbing up the side of a large apartment building and thinking to myself "Wow, they're getting in the holiday spirit early."
Also, I went to a huge department store down there, and they have a year round Christmas section.
We don't have exterior lights, just the tree and some electric led candles in the windows. The candles stay up, and the tree we leave until Feb. My wife also has a Christmas Village that she sets up for Nov -> Feb, at least she gets to enjoy it for one full season.
Ours are still up, and I was actually asking myself this very question the other day. I was sort of waiting to see when my neighbors started taking theirs down, then follow suit.

only because we don't really have anywhere to put them, and my neighbors are a bunch of shady A holes
once we get a house i'll put some up, and maybe leave them all up all year long, so santa can have a halloween costume, and the reindeer can be zombies
