  • That's just bad lol
  • I don't doubt you, but it's pretty hard to make out anything in that pic.
  • Awesome! I would love to have this variant in my collection. To bad I don't have that kind of cash to spend.

Well, the fact that there's a wire soldered onto the board...
  • I'm sure he'll accept my $1 offer
  • reported it as counterfeit
  • Wow man the crap people come up with these days.

CNROM repros don't require jumper wires. Looks like it's maybe a repair wire for a damaged trace which could be the result of shoddy work but not necessarily.

  • Thought there might be a small chance it was real considering the seller had 106 feedback. S/he emailed back quickly and wasn't shy about sending the crappy pic but it obviously killed any chance of me pulling the trigger on it. Just wanted to post so someone didn't get scammed. Looks like it has already been pulled.
  • You'd think he'd have an excuse to not open the cart instead of just showing it. Maybe he was scammed before and never knew.

I was expecting that too and had the same thought. Didn't try to hide anything or send a stolen pic from a previous authentic listing. Saved me the time of asking for board pics with username and date. As usual, if it's too good to be true, it is. Would have been an awesome score at $4000 and I would have given a great deal to a collector here needing to finish the set.

  • Here's a repro advertised as a repro but I don't see it labeled as such on the actual cart at all. Hate this crap - http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=191590172344

Not sure how to take your comment. Regardless, it sold in 10 minutes and it's likely not a good thing for the hobby no matter where it went.

Lol I was mocking someone who made that same comment the other day on a fake game thread. Always good to see people calling out fake games.

Gotcha and thanks for the clarification. Hate that so many NA members are looking for this game to complete the set and they have to deal with this crap. Getting harder and harder to come by a legit copy and this stuff doesn't help.

I had no idea repairs were done this way. At one point I was told that--as far as cartridge boards go--all wires are bad wires.

  • Hard to tell if those are EPROMs on the board or not, but I seriously doubt it is real.
  • I am surprised they would even show you that crappy picture. At that point, why not just lie?

They are. There is electrical tape on the chips.
