Ocarina of Time 3D on the 3DS

So, I'm not sure if this is the place for this question.  Seems like it.



Anyway, in the past couple of months, the average price for a copy of Ocarina of Time 3D on 3DS dropped 20 bucks.



I wasn't sure if anyone had an answer.  Did it get reprinted?  Was it just a hype train surrounding Majora's Mask?



I've been googling it for the past 20 minutes but couldn't come up with any answer.

    Hype train surrounding the fact that it was out of print. Turns out there were tons of them, who would have thought it. Now a lot of people that bought them up are stuck with a bunch of inventory, hence the price drop.

    It seems to be flip flopping all over the place now. A couple months ago the hype from Majora's definitely spilled over. Both with the game and the limited edition New 3DS. It seems the American version is hard to come by in a retail situation, hence the price increase combined with the hype. The Canadian version has always been readily available up here. It looked like were a little hard to come by fo a month or so, but since then there is still 10 at every store. I'm not sure if the American version is still hard to come by since I haven't been following it.



    I would say a combination of the Canadian version being available and the hype from MM dying down would be your answer. Looks like complete/sealed ones are still commanding just above retail though. However, I was listing them at 60-70 USD a couple months ago and they were selling pretty fast.

    Yes, it was the MM hype that built it up and let it die down. Hype affects prices more than rarity or anything else.
