I've been re-reading though the previous issues and saw all of the top 5 games from the members spotlight and I was curious what everyone else top 5 games were and if anyone has changed their top 5?

I'll start In no particular order after DH/SMB

Mostly games I played as a kid remains my favorites, Rockin Kats, Double Dragon 2, Chip n' Dale and TMNT 3 are not too far from the top 5.

My top 5 also change pretty consistently, but usually it looks something like:

Super Mario 3

Crystalis

Zelda (or Outlands)

Contra (or Super C or Super Contra 7)

Legendary Wings

These are games that I can just pop in anytime and not get bored. Also, a few baseball games or ice hockey depending on the mood. Don't know why, but I still get sucked into the baseball games :-P.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen Wizardry and Ultima for the NES in a Top 5.

While both series of games are fantastic, their NES counterparts are really pretty sad (at least by comparison). For a Wizardry-like game, I would have considered Might and Magic 1 to be the definitive 1st-person dungeon crawl on the NES (better than Wizardry AND Sword and Serpents).

I should preface this by saying the popular series like Zelda, SMB, Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden, etc, are timeless classics. I could hardly leave 5 of those out of the top five, so I'll omit them all, and list my top 5 other than those series.
