NFR N64 confusion
Hey guys, I got an N64 NFR console from my neighbor today with Smash bros and a nice 64 carrying bag. He only wanted 20 bucks for everything. I got the console home to test (he didn't have AV's) and see it has a sticker on the side that says "demo use only not for resale." it also has a brand in the bottom saying something similar. I have seen this on ebay for $500 BIN but can't seem to find any sold history for it. Does anybody know what this is worth?
I've never heard of Nintendo branding any kind of demo units. My neighbor also didn't fake it or anything as this was his childhood console and he has no reason to fake it. What confuses me the most is that I remember the xmas he got it. It was a boxed one. I remember because mine had come in a funcoland box because my parents got it used. I'm pretty sure he got DK with it and it was the DK bundle but because I remember seeing a DK box but the console was not green. I can't seem to find a DK bundle without the green console so I guess his parent's just got a mismatched box with a used console? He also has a yellow controller and said it was the one that came with ihis system that xmas. Anyways if anyone has some insight on what this thing is worth or if the guts differ at all from a regular 64, it would be much appreciated.
