Nice bundle! i love the look of that mario maker box! Been wanting that Bomberman big box myself!
  • Nice pickups Dave and Pete. I really need to play Ratchet and Clank, i've heard its awesome and I loved the original games.

Minish Cap is a blast too, one of the best Zelda handheld games if not the best.
  • My own person holy grail of gaming came in yesterday. Still can't believe how nice it is. More pics over in the Game Series Awards thread.

Thanks. Yep, I agree, Minish Cap is great. Collecting the figures can be a little tedious, but I really enjoyed it back in the day. Definitely time to play through it again.

These are always my favourite pickups. Went to talk to a collector friend who happened to be getting rid of a bunch of stuff which I was able to grab. Stopped looking for Bomberman a while ago and then this basically fell into my lap. Awesome condition too. Pretty much the same with most of the GB stuff. Really only planned on getting a few things, but the other stuff was too good to pass up. With exception of Wario Land everything is in really nice shape which always twists my rubber arm when buying.

  • Picked up the gold Famicom Punch-Out!! to complete the subset, it's my new favorite!

That thing looks so cool. I always thought the Japanese games had cooler art for the most part.

Is this the one you picked up from michael_gm?

I personally am not into these kinds of grails and stuff but that copy looks fantastic, congrats.

Totally agree, I'll take most Famicom cover art over NA releases any day, especially if it's Manga art!

That poor Ghoul Patrol.  Reminds me of my Breath of Fire 2; that color just sticks out like a sore thumb in its pile

How many $50+ titles do you have left to get?  Or are you just working down the price charting list?  I'll be curious to see if you can keep up this furious rate once you get down to the <$20 and <$10 titles, which are usually less exciting to pursue imo.  Either way I'm putting down my bet that you have the complete set by August.

Thanks for the encouragement! I have been kinda working down the list. Right now I have everything down to ninja warriors if you sort from top to bottom on price charting (loose carts). The plan is probably to keep going till I get down to the $20ish carts and then start buying in bulk from someone like jj for the commons.
  • Hmm, I buy a lot of games from JJ. Hope you don't mind trashed carts...

I honestly have had no issues with JJ at "all" and have bought probably 50+ carts from him.

I hear a lot of people have bad experiences maybe I am just due one?

Oh, don't get me wrong, I buy from him all the time because I have good experiences.  Mostly cheaper carts through his buy 3 get $3 deal.  Its how I got a lot of the sports games I needed for the SNES thread.  But I have to go through a lot of crappy carts to find those listings, and I've accidently bought a few trashed ones where the damage wasn't apparant in the pic.  Not a huge deal that my MLBPA Baseball is all torn up since I'm only out a few bucks and it can be replaced, but just something to know.

Both times I bought from them on eBay I've received bad carts, they did exchange them for better ones though.  This was probably 2 years ago, I have not bought from them since because I don't want to deal with the hassle.  This could possibly not be a problem now.

Oh yeah same, I never buy more expensive titles....pretty much limit myself to titles at $20 or less but for the most part just bulk commons.

  • I care significantly less about condition when it comes to exceedingly low cost carts. As long as I can read the label and they function, then great. "Well loved" carts are fine by me. Sometimes the "damage" is charming. Especially when it's little kids writing their names on them
  • Well after selling off a bunch of power ranger stuff i have these on the way. Will post pics asap. My ps2 and ps2 collections are at about 75 each, not too much more now i need.

  • Got this ridiculous game to finally complete my MM collection. All NES/FAMICOM SNES/SFAMICOM + Willey Wars on Mega Drive variants of Mega Man Series

  • Monster party for nes and turok and superman for n64.
  • not much just getting back into collecting I guess after a big sell off. Focusing mainly on Gameboy and handelds, added revenge of the gator and tamagochi for GB today.
  • I just got Zelda 1 and 2 for NES. Complete in box with all inserts. The boxes look like someone just took off the shrinkwrap and the games look like they've never been played. It's something I've wanted for literally 30 years.

Man, talk about a game not worth the board it's soldered to, much less the unreal price it commands. Sincere congrats on your turd. The day will come eventually that I join you in such a noble acquisition.

Picked these up this past weekend... NES Cart count 528

  • Damn, I want that Terra Cresta.
  • I'm surprised Terra Cresta doesnt get more attention considering how damn uncommon it is. Figures that I found it for $5 at a thrift store.
