Here is the information I've got. Also, I'm not too good with small electronics- do these require lots of maintenance? Is changing the games difficult?

Thanks in advance

Selling my PC10, and including all 15 carts. Game was on-route for only a few months before being shelved by the operator I got it from for years. Less than 400 plays on the counter, and it is clean and original. No burn monitor with fantastic picture, all original controls, and I believe I still have the original Nintendo locks I will include. 1 dinger on the back corner (see pic). Prefer local pickup. Asking $2250.

Carts included:

SMB

SMB2

SMB3

TMNT (w/box)

TMNT2

  • I can't see a counter top cab being worth 4x the price of a standard cab with the same games.
  • Good games but yeah that is a high price
  • That's a high price but It's also not something you stumble across too often. I'd say if it's a grail and you have the funds available to spend, do it. This would look awesome in any game room and you could easily sell it for most of your money back. Just my 2 cents

    EDIT:

I've always wanted the red colored upright cabinet myself.
  • neat piece ... but a bit much in price, I would say also =0/

( one persons holy grail doesnt mean its the same for somone else's )
  • The tabletops are extremely hard to find... especially in this condition, low plays, and with the complete game kits. They do sell for these prices though. Some of these games fetch a pretty penny as well. I think the seller is on the top side, but not outrageously overpriced. If it was just the countertop unit, then this asking price would definitely be crazy high.

To see how you change the games out, check out this manual for the countertop

You should try to find out if the joysticks have been refurbed as they are near impossible to find nowadays. And see of they ever recapped the monitor. With these being as old as they are, a recap will be in the near future if one has not been done. They are cheap and easy if you are handy with a soldering iron.

Man, I hate seeing things like this so close to me... especially when I dont have the cash for it.  You should contact the seller and chat it up with him [build repport]. You may find he is willing to negotiate... If not, walk away and keep checking back on the ad. If it does not sell over an extended time, then contact the seller again and so on and so forth. I've had luck in the past doing that.
  • Like everyone else, great games but price is a bit high. You can usually get a standard Playchoice 10 cab for less than $500 so I would try and negotiate some. Like dewisp02 said, the countertops are certainly the hardest of the PC-10's to come by but it's not on a level to where you'll never have another chance at one.
  • That thing is beautiful man. Try and get the guy to come down a bit though.
  • IMO if people are complaining about the price, separate the games from it. You'll get close to $100 a piece depending on the game since you have the box kits. Then sell the countertop at a fair price locally to avoid shipping damages.
  • I've decided to pass, if I'm going to spend $2,000 it's going to be on a SNES kiosk.

The seller of this is a really nice guy, and gave me an awesome story about where this thing came from. I live in Milwaukee and would be happy to facilitate any introductions. If it goes to an NA member, please let me know! FYI, he turned down my offer of $1,250

  • The guy posted this one on the PC10 facebook page. Nobody really commented on it though. I am thinking the other owners think it is a little high in price too...
  • I'm making the 6 hour drive on Thursday to go pick it up. I negotiated, and the seller and I came to a number. Needless to say this will be the pinnacle of my collection once I obtain it. I'm happy that the link above even states the sale is pending pick-up, which is what the guy said he'd say. He was a super nice guy and very knowledgeable about the PC-10; he has quite a arcade cabinet collection. I will post an update when I get it in my hands!

I think that you're getting an excellent piece with a bunch of great games.  Congrats on the purchase. You'll have to post pics of it setup in your game room.

If one of these comes my way and I had the cash laying around, I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger and make the purchase.

Thanks man.  I have a slight Christmas-y feeling in my stomach as I will have it within the next 36 hours.

Sadly, I am 23 and still living at the parents house and there is no room to create a game room.  I have my kiosks, signs, etc. just sitting in one of the corners of the basement; I have all my systems and games in my actual room but the bigger stuff just doesn't fit.  I cannot wait to get an actual house to finally create a game room; I already have quite a collection that will form it.  I have lived in an apartment before, and at a house at school, yet I didn't want to move all my big stuff just to have to move it back; plus I didn't want anything crappy to happen to them.

Point is that I will defiantly take pictures of the PC-10 when I obtain it, just sadly it won't be set up all cozy in a gaming room.

I'll let you put it in my gameroom ;-).  I purchased my first house when I was 23, but it was really junky and I couldn't have a gameroom because the basement flooded when it rained.

Yeah, I sold that dump and moved to a better place with a basement that has tons of potential.

  • Id pay that in a heartbeat. It's gorgeous. Condition is everything. That's very nice.

Too bad I a broke foo.
  • I have returned home after a (very) long day of driving with the spoils. Pics coming sometime today!
  • The two chips are TMNT.  Fester's Quest is still sealed.  Came wtih two sets of keys and spare stock locks as well

    .. that play count, though.
  • Nice pics. I would almost rather have nice counter top Playchoice 10 than a NES Sharp TV.

They make a board that will play regular NES games in your Playchoice, however, I am not sure if that will fit in the counter top edition. Maybe something to look into.

Great item anyways. I would guess that all the coin-op features still work.

All features are functional.  Everything is stock; even the joysticks, which is rare.
  • That is great man! Nice pickup. I would sell the sealed games to recoup some of that cost!

It does, I helped my friend set his up with the cart adapter.
