Scammed?

I bough a complete in box Wild Guns snes off ebay. For a pretty awesome price. It was like $300 shipped from a foreign ebay user from sweden. This guy had 100 % positive feedback over 11 transactions so I figured it would be fine. Shipping from sweden should take 2 to 4 weeks. He messaged me and said that he shipped the item out and that he would answer any questions I would have when he got back from his honeymoon. I look today and his account is no longer with ebay. Wither he disabled his account or ebay did. My money is still in his account. What should I do?

Should I wait a few weeks before opening a case to see if he really shipped it? Or should I open a case now?

He did not provide tracking. :/ this smells like a scam to me.

  • Open a case, if it shows up send the money again
  • Damn! good luck man, I feel for ya!
  • Def seems fishy...I'd say open a case now and if the seller flips out then ask for update/tracking/more common decency, etc.
  • Wild Guns complete from Sweden for probably less than half the going rate from a guy with 11 feedback, sounds legit. I know people want to get good deals but come on...

  • lol you guys. The box and game are kindof beat up though, which lead me to believe that this guy was genuine. Why would this guy just end his account after 11 perfect transactions? Unless he already has another account. This whole thing stinks.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to open a case.
  • What was his feedback for? Typically for sellers like this it's a bunch of $1 or less purchases for stuff from China (literally the cheapest stuff you can find on eBay). If his account is gone I'd definitely say he took the money and ran. I also agree with jone, the signs were there to avoid this listing.

Open a case Now. Claim you did not receive a shipping notification.  Or call them.

If you paid with a credit card you will have an extra safety net.
