Need help getting light-up Nintendo 64/ GBC sign open

Hello there.  I have a N64/ GBC double-sided light-up sign that I obtained a while back.  It has is made by TecArt Industries, INC. right out of Farmington Hills, MI (right around my location, so that's pretty cool).  I got it and the bulb was working; two years later it is no longer turning on.  It was been sitting safely in my basement, so no drops or anything occured.  I want to get it open to change out the light, yet I cannot get it open.  I was wondering if anyone could help me with any information behind it.  It has the 4 original screwed, in which I took out, yet that wasn't the answer to opening it.  There are two screws on each of the sides.  It almost feels like the side panels can come off, but I don't want to force anything.  Here are pictures of the sides and whatnot.  Thank you in advance!

  • Are there any screws under those black nubs?
  • Nope. Already tried to remove for that reason, but they won't come off.
  • I would assume the non-cord end would slide upward perhaps? Longshot, but have you tried calling the number just incase they're still in business?

    EDIT-   They're still in business!

Try to contact them on their site with your pic and they can probably help.
  • Im wondering if the screws on the sides hold either the front or back faces of the sign in place. Have you tried removing both screws from both sides and pulling/sliding the front or back face panels? Looks like it would pull away from the unit more than it would slide.

  • I've been hella busy the past week; that's no excuse, but I'm a known procrastinator. I'll update again when I give the company a call in the next few days!
