What's got me particularly excited about this new fanzine is that it appears to be heavily influenced by my absolute all time favorite magazine the legendary Super Play!!

Which for those who don't know was a nineties UK SNES mag that covered tons of import games, RPGs, anime and Japanese culture.

Obviously the more you pay us, the more time we can spend on future issues and the better we can make HyperPlay RPG fanzine! We think you'll like what you see in issue 0.

  • Hyper Play issue zero arrived in the mail today, haven't had a chance to sit down and read it yet but had a quick flick through and it looks great.

Yes it's all black and white, like an authentic oldskool fanzine.

  • This is awesome man! I am going to give it a shot and purchase one, how long of a run do you think this will have?

Issue zero I think will not be available after issue one arrives.

If you mean the total lifespan of the fanzine itself far as I'm aware it's set to run indefinitely, this is just the beginning. :-)

Yes I was refering to how many issues they planned on making if it was pre-determined.

But this sounds pretty sweet....I have to pay $10CAD an issue though, damn.

I have no idea whether there's a set limit print run to each issue, but my guess is he/they keep printing them until the next issue becomes available.

Regards shipping to Canada, he may of sent some of the bulk orders to Canadian retail stores which could be cheaper for you, might be worth messaging him to find out.
  • Nice! Purchased issue 0... solely because of my love for RPGs and the SNES Final Fantasy games
