Complete NES Sharp TV Auction
Anyone else watching this auction?

It has the antenna, remote, and both controllers. Didn't know they even had its own antenna. What I know, this is pretty much complete. Wonder what the final bid will be. Really went much higher than I thought.
I guess that means the remote and antenna is even more rarer than the TV itself yes?

I was researching the antenna and I think that seller is lying. I cannot find any evidence of an antenna coming with the Sharp TV.
If you even look up other sharp tvs from that time, if they came with an antenna then they were in the replacement parts list. The Sharp NES TV does not have an antenna in its parts list.
Either way, the antenna on that TV is period correct for 1989 as a "behind tv" antenna that sharp and other brands would sell on their TVs.
I would say at most, that antenna may have been sold to the original owner by the sales person at the department store.
I tried to find the source of that antenna and it just seems to be a very common antenna of that time period for many different brands.
It probably is made by some china factory and sold to all the name brands. I would not be surprised if you can find it on alibaba as just a rabbit ear antenna.
These were sharp antenna part numbers sold at that time bundled with other Sharp brand TVs.
QANTR0006PEZZ vhf
QANTL0006PEZZ uhf bowtie
The VHF is the telescoping one you see on that sharp TV. The UHF bowtie would clip onto the VHF antenna, but is not on that sharp TV.
Either way, a period correct antenna is a nice way to more than complete the TV.
Also, if you want one of these antennas for your sharp tv, here is the link to a vendor selling them on amazon.

Now some of the brands had colored tips and flat tip versions of the antenna. The only other picture I found of an old sharp TV had the silver barrel tips like in the sharp nes tv ebay auction. So the chrome tips are probably the period correct ones for sharp.
I saw some with white colored tips that seemed to be sony branded.

I have not found anyone selling the clip on uhf bowtie.
Also the one I bought the original owners can't remember if it did or not just was always there. Also I can't remember back to 89 either!
seems a lot of people got too much money for their own good and will believe any dribble. I swear every CRT TV had the same generic antenna.
I'm hoping this isn't pointed my direction... This is just an interesting thing to find out. I didn't buy many TVs back then but I'd assume they would come with an antenna since that was the primary source for the TV right? Regardless I always found the remote being worth more then the TV hilarious!!!
Based on the bidder history, I know who won it.
Well, I am guessing the reason why is because it is in pretty good shape and has everything in one auction. I mean that is a pretty good looking TV that I have seen in the longest time.

Is that a new record??? It did not come with a manual or original box. Just the 4 legs, both doors, 2 controllers, and remote.
Final bidder had a very high ebay score. p***p (1655)
It might as well be the highest it has sold for a while. Unless anyone else has seen these go for even more in the past?
Some care if they are looking to trade or sell some of their collection.
Some just want to know if their collection has value on current prices just for fun.
Some dont care at all what market prices are.
Some care if they are bidding in the same auction and want to know how much they were out bid by.
Depends on the person, but wanting to know what something sells for is only natural for collectors.
I was bidding on this auction, but I maxed out at what I thought all the pieces could be bought/sold for separately. I would rather wait a few months to get what I want.
I just bought a NES TV last week for $480 (w/ ship) and it had 4 legs and a 'game' remote, but no doors. But then again just a 'game' remote sold not too long ago for like a $300 bin by itself.
I just want a complete tv for my game room. (I just bought a house a few months ago so now I have room for stuff)
That is crazy prices. I just really hope it makes it to the owner safely.
