Must be a joke, Right?

Sometimes I just can't tell. He did leave a number, but still it's not legitimate I don't think because it says that the person is not accepting calls at that time.

  • This kinda looks legit...I'd call if I were close by.

Edit...geeze ok I didn't fully look at the list. I suppose the NWC and BB2 could make this be fake afterall.
  • Yeah. It's the NWC that I didn't believe. I called BTW, and there is a message that says "this person is not accepting calls at this time"

  • obviously fake, and probably used the phone number of some poor sap that they dislike.
  • huh, weird!
  • well since the phone number doesn't work he/she may be hoping you send an email through cl and then find out info about you for whatever reason.
  • LOL, thanks I needed that laugh. And that laugh will quickly turn to a stomachache and a jaw drop if someone grabs NWC for $2...
  • did anyone send a email
  • why doesnt somebody send an e-mail for the more common games? see if he responds go to pick them up and look through the rest of his games.
  • Wow. I put his 'number' in on google, and he posted it in Chicago, NY, and LA, of course. I'm tempted to send him another email saying that I'm on an airplane on the way to look at the games image.
  • i saw a similar add in dallas, dont think it had NWC but bubble bobble 2 and lots of hard to finds, guy never answered emails though.
  • damn. how'd i miss this one? deniz, you are always on the prowl on the CL.
  • I would avoid contact on this obviously phony ad. As somebody mentioned, they may just wanna find out who the rare game collectors are, track your personal info, and rob your house.
  • there was another one that surfaced almost two years ago on craigslist in the chicago area. This guy claimed to be a "junkman" who cleaned out all these peoples' homes and had an entire cache of old video games. Among the hundreds he claimed to have, he casually mentioned stadium events as one of the few games listed, as well as a handful of extremley rare atari games. His asking price? Only $400. I desperately tried to contact him to no avail. Maybe it's just sour grapes, but I just think it was too good to be true.
  • One time JordanMacNamara (I think) posted one like that with all these rare games boxed (shown in his collection pics) and a NWC Gold which I think was photo shopped. I was real pissed off, cause it was the first time I had been fooled. But it's all good image

    Sorry,wasn`t me.
I actually did have a great find on kijiji (it`s kinda like your craigslist) a couple weeks ago.He had a bunch of rare empty boxes for less than 1$ each.
I also thought that it was probably just a joke listing but the guy replied to my emails and gave me his address and phone number.
After talking to him on the phone I went to pick up the stuff and it turned out to be legit,he even gave me a bunch of extra manuals he had.
Most of the time if something is too good to be true it usually is but you can still get lucky.

  • ^ You know, it's funny because I was gonna post a pic of the Lochess Monster in that NWC thread with the fuzzy pic, but I was too late.
