Need someone to recap a TG16 and a TG Express

Hey, I looked through the forumns but did not see anything recent so i figured I'd post...

Does anyone here do/have good experience with recaping/capacitor replacement for TG16 and TG Express?

I have a TG Express (And the replacment caps) and at least 1 Tg16 original model (No replacment caps) that I would like to have recapped as well, I can pay or offer trade.

(If you/the person also does RGB mods and the like that would be a plus as well (Not tor the Tg16))

  • Whenever I need any work done on PC Engine, TurboGrafx, and the CD Systems that go along with them I go to this guy on eBay. A+ work. Super professional and quick with reasonable prices.

  • I second turbografxfan. My turbo duo I had modded looks professional, like it was bought new with the extra switch. He has also modded my brothers turbo grafx. I did have to send it back though to have something redone due to miscommunication but it wasn't a big deal. He actually did other mods to the grafx for free and refunded me for my original payment. I think you will be pleased with his work.
  • Yeah, give turbografx fan a shout. he can do an rgb mod also. He is a regular poster over at the pcenginefx forums as username Keith Courage. He could also put a 3.5" screen in the Turbo Express. I had it done to mine and it is a major improvement.

  • I bought a recapped pc engine duo from turbografxfan and the soldering job was absolute sh!t and the pcb had jumpers everywhere from what looked like botched soldering. Now, he/she may have bought the unit to repair, but I would never send out a unit with soldering like I found in it... I said something to him since it was having some issues, but he was very rude and kept insisting on me sending the unit back but he would not pay for the shipping to get it back to him and to return it to me once he did whatever to it, despite him being a 45 minute drive away. He finally gave me a partial refund to cover repair costs, but had to argue and pull teeth to get that. Definitely will not buy anything else modded by him with the crappy soldering work I saw. Just wanted to share my experience with that seller.
  • I got mine done by a guy named keith courage on pcenginefx.com. He did a stellar job.
