Poll of the Day.. 1/13/09

Had to look up the date, that's sad isn't it?

Another user submitted poll...  Thank you all who have contributed...

  • NES: Kid Icarus

    SNES: I have no idea!
  • NES: Lolo - the current generation of apathetic gamers needs some worthwhile puzzle challenge. Hell, they could probably get away with recycling quite a few of the puzzles as long as the reskinned the game to look like a cartoon (a la Wario Land Shake it)

SNES: Zombies ate my Neighbors - while I LOVE Actraiser, the Wii is all about family game time. "Zombies" would be a perfect candidate for a revamp - AND you could make the controls work similar to the tank mini-game on Wii Play. Run with the thumb stick and point to shoot. I think it would be a real blast, with a slightly lower bar to entry than the original (not that the original is hard at all)
  • yeah, i agree with Burdger, NES: Kid Icarus, that would be sweet!

SNES: Shadowrun (the one they remade as a first person shooter does NOT count).

  • Nes: Punch-Out which actually is coming this year or next, can't remember

Snes: Earthbound would be pretty cool to see

Arch, I agree, with the zombies comment to the T. It would be super fun to control that way and the game would be tonnes of multi player fun. Maybe even get it up to 4 players.

  • Battletoads for me, and I was never much into the SNES as a kid, so I haven't played those games.
  • NES: Marble Madness and/or Snake Rattle n Roll

Try Fallout 3.  They actually kept the right "feel" while making a first-person game that plays well in real-time AND with "turn-based" fighting.  Also, the hacking mini-game is MUCH cooler than what was done on the SNES Shadowrun.

Fallout 3 eh? thanks Arch, Ill have to give it a try. NO, i will not listen to your lies! NOTHING can beat the uber complex and graphic intensity of the Shadowrun Matrix, just ask your avatar. lol
  • Heh. Well, Fallout 3 the concept of "hacking" makes sense in that you're solving a puzzle in the computer memory. It's fairly basic, but it looks neat and has a distinct flavor to it.

In Shadowrun it was a bit different, I guess, since you're jacking in directly from your cortex computer. I always felt like there wasn't really any skill involved, though, and they could have done a much better job with that portion of the gameplay.

  • KID ICARUS flat out... still one of the best games!!
