Got ahold of a Sony Triniton Wega at Savers, have a few questions

Is it true this is one of the best tvs to play s-video games on? The model number is kd-27fs170 if that helps. Another question, do you guys have any recommended settings for the tv? I noticed for picture modes there's Vivid, Movie, Pro (??), etc. There's also a 16:9 mode....would that be a good idea to turn for something like a N64? Thanks!

    Trinitrons are great TVs for retro gaming. Arguably the best until you get into professional monitors.



    Just keep the TV at the default setting. Don't use any of those pre-set modes. If anything adjust the levels yourself until the picture is just how you want it.



    I would not use the 16:9 option at all. Games really didn't start utilizing the 16:9 format until PS3 and 360 IMO.

    Thanks for the info man! Just adjusted the settings on Standard and it's looking beautiful.

    According to the manual, it supports component at 480i only. Be sure to disable 480p on systems like Xbox and Wii.
