Ebay Detailed Seller Ratings
I had someone leave me a poor item condition report since the disk had minor scratches yet played fine (I test everything). Are they using the damn thing as a mirror? I test everything and offer refunds and I encourage people to inquire on condition if they're picky to avoid crap like this. I just hate how if you get more than 5 below 3 ratings you get penalized. Is there a way to appeal these ratings with the new system they have in place to actually see who gave you poor ratings?
My listings are rated as acceptable and the majority actually exceed this rating but I put that as a safety for myself since I find everyone's views on condition vary greatly. What are the reprocussions if I keep getting buyers like this?
As soon as someone gives a bad rating do you block them as a buyer? I sent the buyer an email informing them on how the item met conditions set out by ebay and was tested. I also mentioned they should inquire if they are that picky for a functional game and gave them eBay's definition of an acceptable game. I saw they gave someone else the exact same rating for the same reason. All for a measly 2$ after mailing it out and fees.

how long does this crap last for? Is there no way to appeal? Its very discouraging when you are being honest and actually taking non stock photos.
As far as I know they won't "fall off". Your rating will only improve with more feedback as your percentage rises. Most of mine are from shipping costs, and I charge exact shipping, so go figure. It doesn't happen often, but you can expect it to happen some, which sucks when you're doing everything right to prevent it.
I've asked about it and ebay told me it is the seller's opinion so it is subjective and they won't change it unless they flat out lie about a fact.
Well, they might remove it if they flat out lie and make it incredibly obvious they did so, but even if they do your chances are still pretty low.
