Where did you get the custom spine labels? I need one for my Air Zonk.
My Air Zonk had it on it when I traded for it. A user on pcenginefx.com named Sparky does sell custom spine sets. I think he may have the same username on NA as well. I haven't bought the set yet so I'm stuck with the wrong spine (for now) for Samurai Ghost, Neutopia 2, and Soldier Blade.
I defintely did in 2015! That was the year i dove into TG16 and was all about it! Im glad you've had fun with it! Really fun system with alot of good games to play! I shifted gears in 2016 but hopefully i'll pick up a few of the titles i've still been wanting in 2017. And maybe finally get a Duo!
Perhaps once I reach forty titles I'll use more exclamation marks than usual!!!
What did you switch to and why? I personally find the PCE is the end all retro platform for me, I've lost interest in every
other system by now. I'm sticking to my original PCE and not paying much attention to things like the Duo or Super Grafx
since my console s-video modded and, well, the original!

Most of them are CIC (Card in Case) except for certain US titles that didn't originally come in a jewel case, but I have the Hucards stored in a baseball card binder (the cases are all stacked safely on my game shelf). The binder is definitely handy but you gotta take care not to invert the binder or the Hucards will fall out everywhere...
Can't look at that list without noticing the glaring title that is Toilet Kids. Even with the same text font, it's as if the wording
just illuminates it. Which of those heavy hitters are your favourite? I only own two (If $100+ is considered a heavy hitter)
and enjoy at least one (Since the other hasn't arrived yet).
There were alot of DS titles and Shoot Em Ups i was still wanting to pick up. Snagged quite a few of the japanese saturn ones i was still after. Also picked up a Neo Geo CD with 10 games and a Virtual Boy with all the US titles! Sorta was all over the place!

Yeah Toilet Kids is pretty mediocre for a shooter. I paid $100 for CIC TK and $100 for a sealed Strip Fighter (which I opened and played, honestly not a bad clone of SFII). I've got a collection of "adult" games on Atari (Beat Em and Custers), FC Soap Panic and AV Pachinko by Hacker International, Panesian 3-in-1 Pirate Booty repro for NES (and the PG Mermaids of Atlantis - it's not a bad puzzle game), and a Beat 'Em NES port and "Cornball Cocksuckers" a joke homebrew created Vectrex (NA member).
By "heavy hitters", I'm referring to "good" games rather than expensive, and I did have to buy a couple repros to finish my collection. I have a "rule" that I don't spend over $100 for a single game, and if a game I own goes over $200, I generally sell it. I don't generally collect titles solely based on rarity or value. I think that's just dumb when people do that.
Tg16 is great, I've had mine for around 5 years. I only have around 15games though. Bonks revenge is my favorite on the system. Also my favorite platformer in general
I've only got an original TG16, which I am having one heck of a time finding controllers for, sadly. Need to seriously consider alternative options. Do you know if there's anyone out there making converters?

Console5 has adapters for PC Engine controllers as well as the parts to build your own. Gamesx.com has some info for building your own controller. You can google for a guide about converting an NES controller (forgot what site that was on). As I recall you needed to remove the NES controller's 4021 shift register and install a different chip.

I've got extra TG-16 controllers including the arcade style stick. Do you have a trade list?
I'm currently in the market for a PC Engine Duo R, preferably untouched. I have been a TG/PCE fan for many years but just never ended up buying one. One of my good friends owns Aetherbyte and released the first new HU card game a couple years back. If you are looking for a good game that isn't normal TG prices check out his game Atlantean.

Oh gosh. All I have doubles of is some loose NES commons:
Not specifically Turbografx related, but I was out for one of my runs today, and I found a house near mine that had an NEC car parked outside of it.
Don't think Turbo systems were even released over here, but it would still be interesting to talk to the person and ask if they know anything about it.
I snagged a boxed copy of Chase HQ today and a boxed Bonk 3 last week, just need 2 more games to be finished with my desired set. I think i'd be stopping at around 100 US releases, very tough system.
I'm actually struggling because I need to find one or two of those plastic trays and just can't seem to, really frustrating.

Not really ideal, but if you're not into serious modwork, this will get you gaming. I recommend picking up an old school digital PSX pad for maximum enjoyment. Supports turbo A/B function. 6-button mode not supported.
Anyone in this thread have NES/SNES/N64/Genesis VGA games to trade for TG16 stuffs? I have a pretty decent sized TG16 collection (no loose HU cards). I ordered a Krikzz flash Hucard so I don't need this stuff to play and I don't think I will ever bother finishing the collection. PM if you have any VGA games to trade, I am not interested in selling.
Figured I would check on here to give the TG16 collectors a shot before I start emailing privately for interest.

NO, I do not have Magical Chase.
Didn't I offer you a Mario Kart 64 VGA for TG16 CIBs like 8 months ago, lol. Still could maybe trade something though.

Man, there's a member here that I talk to away from NA who probably has one of the best (if not the best) TG16/CD/TD collections that has ever existed, but he insists on keeping his collection super-private and not parading it on NA. It would seriously have you guys mopping your drool off the ground.
You son of a bitch if you're reading this (and I know you are), post the goods!

Yes, many.
I try to maintain a cardboard-free collection (except homebrews that already came boxed), LOL. I broke!

Funny enough I did too at first, I owned about 8 games to start and all of them just had the normal jewel cases/manuals. Then a user on Sega age that I did a lot of business with found a bin of mint condition boxed turbo games (about 25) along with a few more elusive ones and sold them to me for a pretty fair price, and with that, the horror began. I'm about 75 or so boxed titles in now, just need 2 more before i'm personally done (though i'm not going for a full set, i'll end up with about 100 TG/Duo cd/etc games in the end)
Still, the 2 i'm missing aren't the most valuable thankfully.
Just found my PC Engine Duo R. Getting it shipped from Japan. Hoping to see it in a month or so. First order of business is swapping all the caps for ceramic.

See, here's the problem with cardboard. It isn't just that it's expensive, but it isn't very durable either. If you plan on actually playing the games, repeated insertions and removals will rapidly deteriorate the packaging. This is a big reason why Genesis clamshells and Turbo jewel cases survived, but not boxed NES/SNES/GB and so on.
With homebrew games it's even worse. I have limited shelf space, games are $10-$20 more with the box, and I unbox the game and store it separate from the cardboard (to prevent wear) which takes even more shelf space. So the cardboard becomes a liability rather than an asset.
Well I do play games, but I also have thousands of them so the chances of ever playing them all are quite low. I figure if you think about it, I'd never open most of these more than ten times, heh.
