Also had my eye on WolRd Court Tennis as i heard it was pretty fun and original and I like RPGs! Just picked up 2 more sealed games today actually. I plan on opening em though, just like i did with Aero Blasters. Just trying to get the games in as good of condition as i can! Games are Blazing Lazers & R-Type. I hadn't planned on picking up R-Type yet but Blazing Lazers was next on my list and the guy had both sealed and knocked $70 of his asking price so i didn't wanna pass it up. Both look to be in great shape! Check em out:

How do you tell if a sealed TG16 box is legit? Is there an H seam?
On topic, my favorites on the system are Devil's Crush, Parasol Stars, and Ninja Spirit.
In this case it was a known seller, and if you bought 6, you got the cardboard box. So not many people are going to fake all that for $10, when the game sells for more loose on ebay.

This was totally me over the last couple years. I say once your satisfied with your collections for other systems dive into Turbo. I mainly did it because ive really been into shoot em ups these past few years.
@ dqualls when you get the chance get the CD add on or equivalents there are a whole boatload of import shumps to play. And also get the Arcade system card because it essentially negates the need for a system card 3.0 and you get to play neo geo ports and my favorite shooter sapphire.

No worries dsqaulls you'll get one soon enough but when you do get into Turbografx 16 CD gaming it's a whole different story and it will be shooters galore. I still think IMO Sapphire is a better game than spriggan not only because it came out late in the life of the system but it reminds me of a psyiko made shooter and I like psyiko shooters.

Sapphire is pretty sweet! I dont know if i could stomach paying the asking price right now though. Plus i hear theres alot of fakes floating around. So unless i can get it from a reputable source for a decent price i dont know if i'll end up getting that one. I did pick up one of the PC Engine Best collections for PSP a while ago which has it on it so at least i can play it, just not on Turbo in all its glory!

I love my duo and recently got a Turbo express. One of the things I love about the system is with the shooters is how it rarely it slows down. I had a turbo and the CD as a kid and just recently got back into it so only a few games so far.
It pains me to see the prices of some of the games but a lot of them are actually excellent games. One of my favorites being Beyond Shadowgate.

You are right dqualls I too would not pay those crazy prices for sapphire but there is the issue of the Turbografx 16 being Region Free and the ability to play burned copies mostly without issues. I still get to play all those games without paying an arm and a leg only from a gamers stand point not so much collector's.

Is the R-Type you got the CD-remix version with all the levels, or the earlier version where they broke the levels across two Hu-cards?
I believe it's the complete r-type, I read it only got split into 2 parts in Japan and the us Hu Card was the complete version. Havnt busted into it yet though. was just on my lunch. Think I may need to try and sneak outta here early though, lol. Yeah, have a few friends who are pretty into retro gaming. My girlfriend actually gets down on these games quite a bit. She's a bigger fan of bomberman than i am and actually kicks my ass at Saturn Bomberman all the time my multitap hasn't showed up yet though. Should be here in the next few days though.

Here's my set. I've always felt that the TG-16 has a loose controller port, at least that's how it feels on my console.
I only have two games which is Keith Courage and Legendary Axe... well 4 if you count 2 reproductions (Rondo of Blood English Translation hack ripped from the PSP version and a port of the NES Megaman with CD-audio remixes):
