Mallet is better than hoyer though. Why in the world does houston want to play a journeymen QB instead of just seeing what they have in a young QB with potential like mallet. I hate stop gap crappy vet QBs. Dallas had so many between aikman and romo. Atleast they moved on quickly early on (hutchinson, carter, henson). Also what gives with texas? Not sure if you are a horns fan but why the hell did they demote the oc and dc after one game? Finding a decent NFL QB is very hard. The Cowboys are lucky that an undrafted free agent ended up being Tony Romo, the guy that was able to turn 3 win teams into 8 win teams. The deal with Cleveland really has me scratching my head. Do they really think they have a future with a 35 or so year old QB that has only looked decent here there, rather than a 24 year old QB that has found a way to win 1 of the first 2 games and has actually been able to move the ball some? Since when does being injured not lose you your job in the NFL? Winning wins you a job, and so does giving hope to the team. If I was running the Browns then Johnny poo poo pants would be starting for me all year.
I don't watch a lot of college football but from what I've seen Swoopes looks like Vince Young out there, but he can't play for s***. I heard an Austin beat writer on DFW radio talking about this situation and he said that Heard doesn't practice well, but he's a gamer. That's good enough for me and after scoring over 40 pts a week after getting killed by Notre Dame I would think Heard has earned the spot for the rest of the year.

He underthrew him again on a post route which would have been a TD, but that time he was actually pressured. As for my Eagles, there are too many issues to keep count of... I guess the only thing that they've done of any significance is breaking Romo. I don't like to see a guy get hurt, but I can't lie, I'm extremely hopeful that this ruins any chance of Dallas having a good year.

NY is really helping the Cowboys chances with what looks like, beating Washington tonight. Doesn't looke like the pigs will be able to come back. Will give Dallas some wiggle room atop the NFC East. Would be great for Dallas if the defense can give the crippled offense a chance to beat Atlanta. I'm not counting on Weeden being able to do this however. Going to be a rough month and a half in Dallas.
I would say NY helped their own chances more than the Cowboys'. They really should have beaten the Cowboys, and look to be the best team in the division. Don't let that 1-2 record fool you. They lost those games by a combined 5 points. Fix a few small mistakes and those could have easily been wins. They'll be getting Cruz back soon, and once they clean up the clock/situation management issues they'll be on their way.

Hoyer already got pulled (admittedly he is not a great qb) after being named starter and mallet was 28 for 56 last week? Ryan mallet is a huge scrotum

Finding a decent NFL QB is very hard. The Cowboys are lucky that an undrafted free agent ended up being Tony Romo, the guy that was able to turn 3 win teams into 8 win teams. The deal with Cleveland really has me scratching my head. Do they really think they have a future with a 35 or so year old QB that has only looked decent here there, rather than a 24 year old QB that has found a way to win 1 of the first 2 games and has actually been able to move the ball some? Since when does being injured not lose you your job in the NFL? Winning wins you a job, and so does giving hope to the team. If I was running the Browns then Johnny poo poo pants would be starting for me all year.
I don't watch a lot of college football but from what I've seen Swoopes looks like Vince Young out there, but he can't play for s***. I heard an Austin beat writer on DFW radio talking about this situation and he said that Heard doesn't practice well, but he's a gamer. That's good enough for me and after scoring over 40 pts a week after getting killed by Notre Dame I would think Heard has earned the spot for the rest of the year.
