Even IF it was being charged to his company...it would more than likely be because it was part of his compensation plan. That is no different than if they'd simply hired him for an extra couple hundred bucks a month. I doubt that's the ACTUAL explanation of events...but even if it was I don't have a problem with people receiving the compensation that was agreed to when they were hired.
It's just ridiculous that the guy is making a big stink about what probably equates to < 1% of his total compensation.
Well Dan I must say the great thing about this country, is your allowed to voice your opinion when you think something is wrong. If we just let the government walk around and do what ever it wanted, and think stuff like "if you dont like it here then get out", this country would be a shithole. This country is nice, because the people have a voice, and make it nice. I could say the same thing back.. If you dont like living in a place where people can voice their opinion, then move to Cuba. I dont have any arguement against the bailouts, because I dont see it wrong or right, either way we are fing ourselves. I do see a problem however with me paying for someones lunch that makes a minimum of 4x my salary. I probly couldnt even afford to buy my own food at that place, but im forced by the governemnt to buy someone wealthier than me lunch?
And that's the problem.
The quicker we hit rock bottom, the quicker the economy can rebound.
By bailing them out, we are just prolonging the pain and turning a 2-3 year recession into a decade long problem. Or we could just let them fail and restructure like any usual business... and then they'd return to making profits much faster.

I can definatly see that side of the coin.. thats why im undecided on this issue.
And Arch.. yea that was pretty funny. As if some unrelated type of establishment such as a restuarant, would just be handing out free lunches to down on their luck companies. Was just saying tho, he had a point, even if he was totally off on magic passwords.. ha
But reading the article and his responses to comments, it's obvious that he believes there to be some great conspiracy afoot.
A tasty conspiracy that includes free quesadillas.
On the merits of bailouts, though...right now I simply view it as the tax I have to pay to keep the unwashed masses from rioting in the streets. It's a rather tolerable alternative, actually.
