I grew up watching TNG, and since then have enjoyed the original and the DS9 series. I'm passingly familiar with Enterprise and Voyager but don't watch them unless it's like 4am and Spike's the only station still broadcasting. Looking forward to the new movie in May, if it's still scheduled for May...
I play games on a CRT so I can use my Zapper
I used to love watching movies on the big DLP projector *sigh* miss that thing, but replacing the bulb was no joke. $$$.
ive watched ST and follow the mythology of it but im not even close to being a trekkie...
i just recently upgraded to a LCD and whenever im watching cable it has a snowyness to the pic but when i turn on a VG or DVD it looks perfect, i dont get it...
id have to say even with old school systems the LCD just makes them look that much vibrent and sharper then with a tube. id highly recomend upgrading
I love Star Trek, but never followed the series all the time, but whenever I did watch any I always knew what was going on and who was who. I seen many of the original series as well as Next Generation, quite a bit of Deep Space 9, all three of these series were really good, but only seen a little over a dozen or so from Voyager, this one's okay, and only one episode of Enterprise, didn't seem I'd take much interest in it. Seen all the movies many times over, love 'em all, but favor the original crew, especially Captain Kirk. But I don't own a single movie nor any of the series (odd huh?), will eventually, this stuff kinda costs a lot, but it'll be around for a while, I can't see Star Trek disappearing in the meantime. I do have around 10 Trek novels though, all good fun reads.
I prefer the old tube tv, but don't have one so I'm stuck gaming and watching stuff on our crappy lcd one. Wait, what's this have to do with Star Trek, technology?
Not a Trekkie, but I watched all of Next Generation growing up and I've seen my share of the original series and DS9, as well. I quit watching with Voyager. I really disliked the cast on that show and couldn't get into it.
Right now, CRT for gaming but LCD on my PC gaming.
I prefer a projector for movies...but that will NEVER happen at my house. I'll end up with a flat panel at some point instead.
I think people are confused about what the definition of a Trekkie is.
Take for instance, NES collectors. We're reading this message board, so we're all NES collectors. Some of us travel to expos, and have a "room of doom." These are the hardcore NES collectors.
Those of us who like Star Trek and can name the bridge crew on our favorite iteration, are Trekkies. Those of us who travel to expos, and have a full fleet admiral's costume that's period-appropriate to the 24th century, are hardcore Trekkies.
Hope this clarifies.
Also: Some have further subdivided the group into "Trekkers" and "Trekkies" - the former being a lesser ...violation.

"I never dreamed that I'd spend my days, staring at some tube emitting cathode rays"
Anybody know that song?

Favorite is Voyager. (Bull Shit on anyone who didn't have a thing for Jeri Ryan.)
CRT for gaming, LCD for Movies!
I have the completes Star Trek collection on DVD (TV Shows and Movies) plus a ton of the novels.

LCD for both (unless I'm using my gun of course... zzzzzzap!)
I have everything hooked up to my LCD 32 inch.
Scott Bakula was on Enterprise, and I liked Quantum Leap, so it got my vote.
I play my NES on a 13" Zenith TV that's older than I am.
