Moving my hyperspin configured in Windows 7 to an XP computer
I posted this in the Hyperspin forums, but hopefully somebody here will know too:
Hello!
I have set up most of what I want to play in Hyperspin 1.4 + Rocket Launcher, but I did it in my Windows 7 laptop. Now I want to move all that to a Windows XP 32 bit machine (with CRT monitor) I got, and put it in my arcade cab (arcade monitor).
My first attemp to run Hyperspin has been unsuccessful, just brought me a BSOD. I'm not surprised, because I just installed XP barebones (home edition), haven't installed Flash, or anything for the matter (except hardware drivers - audio, video, etc).
What software, updates, codecs, etc, do I need to run Hyperspin in my new XP machine? I could install Win 7 instead, but I went with XP because I heard it's best for old style arcade monitors. Is that true? Which tweaker can I use with Win7? Do I have to buy an ArcadeVGA card? Do I have to make adjustments to my hyperspin set-up before moving it to XP?
Thanks!
