Well, we no longer have the option to 'opt out' of the new my eBay experience. The new version of my eBay is horrible. I hate it. I have to post here to vent because this sucks.
I haven't noticed any difference so I guess I was using it the whole time? What really make it "Worse" or is this just the same as the "Oh I hate Vista because it isn't XP" argument?
It's night and day. It would put you in the new version every once in a while unless you opted out so you may be used to the new one already.
My complaints thus far is it used to stagger the background on the list of listings, white and then gray on every other line as that's much easier on the eyes. All are white now. It doesn't give a total listed price of the "active" listings anymore. There's useless and irrelevant stats all over the place cluttering things up. The sold total is now on the left side instead of top so you have to scroll down to see it rather than it being at the top. Under the "active" tab, there's no link to sort them by title any more although it defaults to it sometimes. There's also the general change of symbols and change for change sake, like always. They redo my ebay every year or two and every new one is missing features that the old one had. There's never anything better and worthy of the change

So why not venture over to the other thread and tell Dain all about it like Dangevin asked?

Well as for the Ebays.. I used to use the old one, but I have been using the new one for the last couple months. It was irritating at first because I wasnt used to it. Over all though I couldnt find much diffrence, just the stuff is rearranged mostly.
As for Xp and Vista.. thats totally diffrent man. I actually run a hack of XP that looks exactly the same as vista and handles the same too. But I would never, never install true vista on my computer. Its a pile of poo. It has the worste backwards compatibility in windows history. Its buggy as hell, even with stuff designed for vista. The most basic stuff requires you to search the internet far and why for patches and fixs. Even more basic programs completely wont run on Vista. Its an fing nightmare hog of system resources. Why anyone would want to "upgrade" to something that hardly works, cant run anything, cant do anything more then its predecessor, and uses up all your resources (which means your actually downgrading your system, and also making it obsolete faster) is beyond me. They make Xp in 32 bit and 64 bit.. so vista is pretty much worthless.. ill wait for something better to come along. Heck I bet Linux puts out good competition to vista in compatible software libraries.. Turn on Wine and it will run more windows programs then windows vista.
I guess I should be quite thankful that I'm "new" enough to eBay to have never used the old layout. Although I'm sure that in one or two years down the road when they change again I'll be right in this thread blasting eBay too!
Only the American eBay has the new layout fixed...if you don't like it, just change .com to .ca, .co.uk, or .com.au for other English My eBays with the old layout.
I hate the new facebook as well, it sucks! I just got finished shipping some stuff from ebay sells and I hate it even more now. The whole system I used to ship, and marked stuff isn't the same, bleh.
well i certainly noticed a drop in bidders. I have done alot of games starting at .99 cents with $2 shipping lately, and got no bidders at all.. usually those at least get the one bid for the dollar, even if the games suck.

It had a different title before, it must have been edited.

Cause Dain doesn't work for ebay
