What Games Do You Like That No One Else Does?

Myself i really enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog for GCN,XB,PS2.  Everyone craps on it but i thought it had a fun choose your own story way of playing.  The gameplay was great too.  Also, my favorite pokemon game is Pokemon Sapphire. (which was the region everyone hated). How about you?

You don't have to pretend it isn't good just because the AVGN fooled people into thinking it sucks.  BTTF is actually one of the most underrated games on the system.  The controls are fucking spot on and it actually has a suprisingly decent scoring system.  My only complaint about the game is the final stage, which is pretty much BS random luck.  I'm really sick of people saying that game sucks becaues it's just not true.

  • Mario 2, seems no one really cares for it but I always had fun with it. Not the best of coarse but there's fun 2 b had. I always like birdo

I thought I'd heard it was pretty good. But maybe that was you that said that, lol. I still wanna get it, I picked up Metal Gear Solid V and Mario Maker instead. My other money is set aside for all my pre orders coming up!

I would have to respectfully disagree, I find the majority of people love SMB2.

Oh :/ maybe it's just the people I know. Seems everyone I know who plays games is always ragging on Mario 2.

Oh I can understand it is kind of a blacksheep title but at the same time a very unique entry in the series.

    Yeah I always enjoyed it!
Posted a pic here in the "back in the days" thread of me and my cat playing it when I was probably 8 or so, lol
  • I know it is not a game that people "dislike" per say but I always loved the original Streets of Rage over the 2nd one.....I actually don't even find the 2nd one all that fun, the sprites are to big and the lack of specials really sucks.

In addition to that the 2nd one is waaay easier than the first.... most two people can just pick up SoR2 and beat it first try whereas the first one it may take a few tries.

Funny, I also came here to post "Back to the Future".  I personally know people who say they hate this game, but more and more I wonder if those people have actually played it.  I'm not saying it's a great game, but it's definitely enjoyable.  Jaws seems to have overcome the AVGN stigma, maybe BTTF can too.

  • Castlequest. I think it's a unique and intriguing puzzle, but almost everyone I know hates it.
  • Duke Nukem Forever

    Alien Colonial Marines

Those come to mind. I don't love them but they weren't nearly as shitty as most people seem to think

I do enjoy TMNT as well. Mainly because of nostalgia.

T&C Surf Designs is absolutely sick one of the good really cheap NES titles!

  • Newer ones. More specifically, newer JRPGs.
  • GOONIES 2!!!!! Not nearly enough love for a, IMHO, classic all timer
  • ARMA Series & Red Orchestra 2
  • Flash hiders. Few people who know of it played the very poor and crappy SFC port, or tried playing it with 2 buttons. It's 4 button game, if you try to play it in 2 button mode, it does the whole "hold down longer for strong attacks". This means all attacks are delayed till it knows what it wants you to do. Which makes fighters unplayable. And Magic Engine does NOT play it in 6 button mode, because d. Michael, while his meat is bigger than mine, hasn't updated in 20 billion years. I'm honestly not sure if any PCE emu plays the game correctly.

Oh, and ET on the 2600 is a fun game, and was pretty good at the time. And people did NOT return it to stores in massive droves like the stories say; stores returned the unsold stock they overbought. ET is still one of the highest selling 2600 games ever, if people were returning it, it wouldn't be nearly as common as it is.

I like T&C, but it's not a full game.  If there was more than one real level per event it would have been nicer. Or if surfing actually made much sense.

Agreed. I have a lot of fun with this even though I've never really gotten all that far in it.

I will admit the surfing section is left to be desired.....
