Thanks for the link! Those graphics and audio are really impressive! I'm so glad they more or less went with Part VII Jason. Now, I wonder how it plays?

Praying to God almighty that it's a good game and breaks the curse. The homepage for the game http://www.f13game.com looks pretty promising. I've been waiting for this since the original NES game. I'm ready for the worst, but man my hopes are through the roof.

Trust me man I am with you, I am a massive F13 fan but I just sadly have little expectations for newer games in general.
I will probably buy it regardless but lets just hope its good.

You know it's gonna be the last time a major F13 game is released for aeons, if ever again. The voice acting in the trailer for Pamela Voorhees was great. So far it seems like all the boxes are checked as far as care going into the making of the game. But definitely tempering my expectations for the final product. My year will be made if it's even decent, regardless. I'd love a soundtrack of remade, non-chiptune F13 NES music too. This might be the first time I ever back a Kickstarter for Chrissakes lol

I just checked out the KSer....I didn't realise Sean Cunningham, Savini, Kane Hodder and Harry Manfredini were involved.
Getting Manfredini in there to do the music and Savini to direct the kills will add some authenticy to it for sure, I am more excited than I was 10 minutes ago.

Yes, the official site and info looks great, as well as that cast of classic people involved.
The screenshot of the cabin from the first movie is incredibly accurate and atmospheric
Gosh, for me it would have to be some classic SNES games like Link to the Past and Super Mario World. Another game that brings back blissful memories is Crash Bandicoot 2 since the PS1 was my first personally owned console.

I'm officially finished feeling young in life.
Sorry man, We 90's kids are moving on up in age. If it makes you feel any better (or worse...?) I've seen some kids nostalgic for stuff like Sonic Riders lol.
So many games, but let's try to break it down in more-or-less chronological order:
Donkey Kong for Colecovision - My first console and my first home video game. So many wasted hours.
Missile Command for Atari 2600 - Of all the arcade ports on the Atari, none consumed more of my time nor earned more of my ire than this one. My mother says I used to get so mad at this game that my face would turn red.
Super Mario Bros. for NES - This was the game that made me want a Nintendo. Before I even had one, I was playing this game at my cousins' house, at the neighbor-kids' house and on PlayChoice 10 cabinets in the local arcades.
Contra for NES - Easily one of the most-played games on my Nintendo. Being co-op helped as my brother and I teamed up to blast the crap out of some alien scum.
Mega Man 2 for NES - Almost certainly my most-played game on NES. I've played many of the other early Mega Man games but none of them ever satisfied me quite like this one did.
Shadowgate for Macintosh - Opened up a whole new world of Fantasy and Point-and-Click Adventure games. I have some very vivid memories of late nights with this game.
Super Mario World for SNES - The leap from the NES to the SNES was huge and SMW was the game that demonstrated for me just how huge it was. Top contender for one of my favorite games of all time.
A Link to the Past for SNES - My favorite Zelda. I once set aside an entire Saturday (and into the wee hours of Sunday morning) with the intention of completing this game from start to finish in one sitting...and I did it!
Street Fighter II for Arcade/SNES - I remember seeing this game for the first time and being amazed at the size and detail of the character sprites and backgrounds. The music was bad-ass and the sound effects were heavy and full of impact. When the SNES port finally came out, a friend and I hounded the local rental shop for 5 weeks before we were finally able to get our hands on a copy to play at home.
Donkey Kong Country for SNES - This game was a special case for me. I got one of those promotional VHS tapes in the mail, as I was subscribed to Nintendo Power, but I didn't buy the game right away when it came out. I had actually bought a copy of Mortal Kombat 2 on SNES...but when my mother saw me playing it, she ordered me to take it back. Luckily, the salesman at KayBee was nice and let me exchange it for another game...and that's when I decided to give DKC a try. Thanks, mom! You ended up doing me a big favor, in the long run. I look back on MK2 today as a pretty sub-par game. I'd much rather play Street Fighter. But DKC has stuck with me as one of my favorite games on the SNES.
Doom for PC - Late nights in the computer lab blasting demons while mom was working on her Computer Science degree.
Thief: The Dark Project for PC - First played this from a demo disc included in some game mag or another. The idea of a first-person stealth game blew me away and I had to have it. Was not disappointed. Epic game.

Ughhhh.... Nostalgia Overload!!!! must recharge and Consume mass Quantities!
Dragon Warrior IV. Taloon reminds me of my dad: a big fat mustachioed guy who worked really hard to support his family.
I didn't mention it in my above list (because it was long enough as it is) but I have a huge amount of nostalgia for the original Dragon Warrior. That game was for me what Legend of Zelda was for many others at the time. I got my copy from the Nintendo Power special offer, complete with all the awesome maps, player's guide, posters, etc. That game became an epic undertaking for me, making a little progress every time I sat down. Every time I hit a new level was exciting, every new town an adventure. The monsters were terrifying (because if you wandered too far off-path, you could get seriously wiped out) and the treasures felt crucial.
In total, it took me about a year of on-again, off-again play to finish it. And when I finally slew the Dragon Lord...no other feeling quite like it.
One of the maps I got from somewhere (?) included a bestiary, overworld map and item guide for Dragon Warrior II...and I wanted that game so badly. Alas, I never was able to get it and never knew anyone else who owned it.
Dragon Warrior II is one of those games that I seriously need to get personal closure on.
I can put that game in, anytime, and feel like a kid again.
Same here, but for a bit more of a story:
My mom always gamed with us on the NES, SNES, and PS1. Anyway, she told my dad and I that she saw info on a game "Suntropics" and she wanted it for Christmas. My dad and I couldn't locate any info on the game. We finally went to a K-Mart and just asked. The cashier just happened to guess that we meant StarTropics. We went for it and it turned out to be the one. My mom, my sister, and I all played the crap out of that game! None of us ever beat it through...
When I was young, the only gaming platform I had(after my parents got rid of their NES) was a Game Boy. Although I also had Tetris, Qix, and Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues, I remember playing Zelda and DK nearly all the time. Both still rank among my favorite games of all time. I've owned the Game Boy and the Zelda cartridge longer than any of my other possessions, so Link's Awakening also has a special place in my heart in that way. The cartridge may not save anymore, but I wouldn't get rid of it for the world.

Ughhhh.... Nostalgia Overload!!!! must recharge and Consume mass Quantities!
I first played it back in 2004? when my dad showed me his Game Boy (I'm only 14).
Altered Beast
Castle of Illusion
King's Quest IV
Pokemon Red
Shining Force
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog
Spiderman vs the Kingpin
Super Mario World
ToeJam & Earl
World of Illusion
Probably the one that stands out most to me on the list would be Pokemon
If I had to pick one: StarTropics
I can put that game in, anytime, and feel like a kid again.
Same here, but for a bit more of a story:
My mom always gamed with us on the NES, SNES, and PS1. Anyway, she told my dad and I that she saw info on a game "Suntropics" and she wanted it for Christmas. My dad and I couldn't locate any info on the game. We finally went to a K-Mart and just asked. The cashier just happened to guess that we meant StarTropics. We went for it and it turned out to be the one. My mom, my sister, and I all played the crap out of that game! None of us ever beat it through...
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Donkey Kong '94
When I was young, the only gaming platform I had(after my parents got rid of their NES) was a Game Boy. Although I also had Tetris, Qix, and Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues, I remember playing Zelda and DK nearly all the time. Both still rank among my favorite games of all time. I've owned the Game Boy and the Zelda cartridge longer than any of my other possessions, so Link's Awakening also has a special place in my heart in that way. The cartridge may not save anymore, but I wouldn't get rid of it for the world.
