Off to the symphony I go...
I just found out a few weeks ago about a show coming to the Seattle symphony for only 2 nights in mid-July. It is a full orchestra that will be playing selections of Nobu Uematsu's collective works from the Final Fantasy series. Last spring, I attended a similar event entitled, Play and it was incredible. I know its a long way off, but I'm really stoked. Here is a link to the show if anyone is interested. It looks like they're performing at a few select venues throughout the US and overseas as well.

Also, you just made me spin off into the black depths of wikipedia for far too long
There is a certain power that you feel with that many musicians playing simultaneously that you don't really get from regular performances. Similar to seeing a 50 piece choir perform Carmina Burana.
