My Sense of Humor

So, I have noticed that not everyone gets my sense of humor, not just on here but in real life, too.  Case in point, every time I see my new avatar, I bust out laughing.  I think that it is freakin' awesome.  Who knew messing around at work could be so much fun.  Anyway, am I the only one that has this problem or do people think that you are messed up in the head, too?  Please share your stories!

  • There's an older lady I work with, she has a hearing aid, sometimes it goes bezerk and starts making whale noises. It makes me laugh out loud every time I hear it. I don't understand why it tickles my funny bone, but it does, and bad. I think its because I imagine if i was talking to her at that moment, I don't know what my face would be like, would we stop talking and wait for the soothing whale sounds to end?
  • I find a lot of stuff funny.. but I really only get good laugh out of things like America's Funniest Video's and stuff like that.
  • i won class clown, i am not professional in the least bit, i say the most rude, racial, and derogatory things possible, but i still manage to get everyone on my team smiling and having a fun time! image making fun of my asian team members has always been my favorite thing to do! then they make fun of me right back! hopefully HR doesnt ever hear about the shit i say or do... i fucked a girl who worked for my 1 client... that probably was a mistake, but it was fun at the time! image
  • ^^ Well, guys, I am glad that we are not the only ones that benefit from your sense of humor...and that I am not the only weird one.
  • I'm a sarcastic bastard.

I was sitting in bank training with 5 other women and the trainer. She was talking about bank security and I made some comment about how I'm sure everyone was familiar with a particular circumstance because "it was just on CSI last night." Obviously (I thought) joking until I realized that everyone was looking at me and nodding. They really take their fantasy cop TV seriously.

Although thinking back, also they could have been thinking "who is this idiot - CSI isn't even on Thursdays."
  • Sounds like me and Seth have similiar sense of humor. I tell jokes at everyone expense, including my own when it fits. I usually go for the one liners and as far as I'm concerned, everything is far game for a joke: race, sex, orientation, falling down, being a dope, religion, sarcasm ... anything. Sometimes people get offended and I laugh at them too. Sure you can actually hurt people with a derrogatory comment, but the it has always seemed to me that if everyone would lighten up about all the politically incorrect topics then they'd cease to matter. A joke is a joke and if people cant take it then I probably dont want to hang out with them again.
