I finally own a Sega Dreamcast!
I never thought that my first Sega console will be a Dreamcast and not the Genesis. I grew up playing during the late NES era and early SNES era. While the SNES is my favorite console of all time, I still managed to play a Sega Genesis quite a bit. I did borrow a Sega Genesis for several months and I wanted to get one myself at the time, but it never happened. A few years later I was blown away how awesome the Dreamcast turned out to be and I wanted to get one badly. Unfotunately it never happened because the PS2 and Gamecube were on their away. Now I decided to buy one myself after all these years and yeah it's an aweome system to own. I had the charm that the PS2 and Gamecube lacked, that arcade like feel to it.
The reason why I didn't get a Genesis instead is because the lack of interest. Sonic 2 and Streets of Rage 1, and 2 are probably the only Genesis games I truly want to own and play a lot while in the Dreamcast there is a whole lot more for me to own and play. As for the rest of the Genesis library, it doesn't really impress much. The SNES is just better in every way for me.

There's only one response worthy of "I have a dreamcast":
Is that Phantasy Star?
Do you like driving games? Do you like Offspring?
Do you like making crazy money?
Edit: Aww, man. Now I want to play that game again, but my DC is boxed up.
The Dreamcast, Saturn, and Genesis are all great consoles to own.

online, the dreamcast version, yea. I will say I played more of the BB version once I got a good setup with Joy2Key so I could use all the keyboard-only quickskills with the control pad. I ended up doing something like hold left sholder for skills 5-8, right for 9-however many it gave you, worked pretty well once you got used to it.
I already got Skies of Arcadia, Sonic Adventure, NFL 2K, and WWF Attitude. I will get Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi, Power Stone games, Street Fighter games, and more.
Try and get ahold of Cannon Spike! Awesome game! Some of my other favs: Mars Matrix, Giga Wing, Gunbird 2, Capcom Vs SNK 2, King of Fighters Dream Match. A couple of fun cheaper games are Zombie Revenge & Dynamite Cop!

+1. I have and played Episodes I and II a lot back in it's heyday.
I have it working on Xbox, but no online. Hoping I can convince my wife to play some splitscreen with me at some point.
I also got a VGA cable for my plasma TV, and I never imagined how HD like it truly looks like! I never seen a console output progressive scan as good as the Dreamcast, not even the Wii which looks like crap on progressive scan or even the PS2 at 1080i and Xbox at 720p which can't even compare.
The "problem" with the VGA that you may run into, many retail discs do not support VGA, but if you get a pirated ISO, it will. Dino Crissis and Bust a move 4 being two I remember off hand
Edit: Duh, SoulCalibur is the big one

Congrats! Get the Power Stone games!
Definitely get these, if you like the party fighting game style Smash Bros. has you'll love Power Stone. Also check out Dead or Alive 2, it's both a great fighting game and inexpensive, a rarity in the Dreamcast library.
I also have a GDEMU in one of my Dreamcats which I find to be a fantastic add-on.
