Worst/Best Addams Family games of all time?
This game is terrible. But on an interesting note the plot of the game was the original plot of the movie that Orion was making before they went bankrupt and Paramount inherited the mess and made it the movie we know today. I must say Paramount did a 180 on this movie if it was like this game. The NES game is my favorite by far. What Addams Family game do you think is the worst/best?

I've only played 3 Addams Family games (never was the biggest fan of the franchise) but if I'm going off of memories of childhood torment, I still have to stick with Fester's Quest. That game caused me so much misery and disgust.
I pick this one for being the worst over Fester's Quest due to deal breaking fact that you only have 5 lives and no continues.
Ok so that game looks terrible, but there's nothing wrong with Fester's Quest (well except dodging crappier power-ups). If you're looking for a good Addams Family game try Values on either SNES or Genesis. It's a decent Zelda clone, hard but quirky and fun.
Im with ya. AVGN left a terrible stink on that game. I personally don't mind it. There are definitely worse NES games, and looking at this thread, Addams Family games.

Back in the day FQ even had it's own spread in Nintendo Power.
I always liked Fester's quest. But the best is Addams Family pinball!
^ Definitely. It's the most authentic one for sure, with the likenesses and voices performed by the original actors.
I was playing it just today on Pinball Arcade.
It's a great version.
That, plus Scared Stiff, Monster Bash, Elvira, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Bram Stoker' s Dracula are all fun tables to play in TPA around Halloween.

I actually enjoy Fester's Quest for nostalgia reasons from playing it a lot as a kid. Most people do not like it from what I have come across though. I tried values once and could not find pubert and gave up. Maybe I will give it another try sometime.

I agree I just wish I had the room for the machine in my house. I have yet to try the digital version.

Gonna have to get that I suppose.

One day I will own a pinball machine! Addams family would be a good one.

Oh I know, people hate Fester's Quest in general. I don't understand it, meanwhile Blaster Master is generally regarded with praise. I've heard Gremlins 2 shares the same "Sunsoft" style. I'm looking forward to playing it!

I don't know if it's the music or what but the majority of Sunsoft games are enjoyable to me. Gremlins 2 is a fun one but I have yet to beat it. Same goes for Blaster Master.
*I don't really kid
Also good = Addams Family Values & Puggsley's Scavenger Hunt on the SNES
Fester's Quest is bad? Maybe is has just been a long time since I have played it but I remember it being a decent game.
I recently tried it again after all these years, as I used to love this game. I must've been remembering the game with rose-coloured glasses, because when I picked it up again, it was awful. If you remember loving it do yourself a favour and leave those memories untouched.
Has anyone played The New Addam's Family for the GBC?

I liked the first SNES Addams Family. Would have liked it a lot more if they tightened up the controls a bit. Gomez slips and slides like no one's business!
AFV I really wanted to love, but the passwords were too scarce and hard to find, and too damn long when you found one! A perfect "save state" sort of game, and I have no shame about that. Why they didn't use a backup battery save was mind boggling. It came out in January 1995 after all and was by no means a "short" game. Cheap bastards.
Have yet to play PSH but have heard decent things about it. Mainly from Super Play Magazine who IIRC adored it a fair bit.

You and me, we think a like. The controls are the only thing I don't like about the original Addams Family on the SNES... and the Save State was my main gripe for AFV! The password system suckkkked.
If you want a really bad Addams Family game, try NES Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt

Haha, we do, as we mentioned earlier (privately) on Fievel Goes West, if you recall. It's nice to meet someone with such good taste lol
