Current value on Majora's mask adventure set?

Thanks

  • This is not obscenely overpriced for the current market value. It's asking $3,800, you almost certainly won't find one new or in like-new shape for under $3,000.
  • You're talking CAD $ I assume
  • Pretty sure it's 5K CAD, 3.8K is the USD price. So 3K USD, not CAD. And yeah, for something that a LOT of people want, but next to nobody is selling, prices are pretty high. I really want it myself, but don't have that kind of chump change lying around, so maybe next time...
  • Three have sold this year none where over 2,700 usd
  • It is definitely overpriced.
  • A lot of people want but not willing to throw down that kind of cash, if it was fairly priced it would have sold already.

Perfectly said! I want it but come on now

  • it use to be more reasonable, hard to believe how much its gone up in price. same with mm grey nfr cart, its one of those things everyone wants but dont want to pay the obsurd price.

This set has been going for an insane price for many years.

Yeah, it's ovepriced by about $1k. It has last sold for cheaper, as others have said, but I think someone would bite the bullet pretty fast if it was offered for $1k less. The problem with a listing like this is that they RARELY come up on Ebay. Most of these sets are sold through sites like NA. Some idiot may actually just decide to jump on this and thus instantly raise the price of this game. There are so few copies of this out there, that one seller/buyer could really have that sort of effect.

  • Apparently I'm that idiot. Sold

In all seriousness, is this how it works? I mean, does the highest sale dictate the most current going price? Or is it averaged out?

I don't think it necessarily means the next one will sell for the same or more but it will definitely give sellers more leverage. Items like this don't sell and go under the radar. The next seller will know what it sold for and bring it up to the next potential buyer. It may not raise the price by 1k but it could raise the price by at least a couple of hundred. One effect could actually be that sellers will see the sold price and think, "I would totally sell at that price". That could put a few on the market and at the end of the day not raise the price too much. It could also alert buyers that this item is going up in value fast and make people desparate to get it asap.

All I've said pretty much can be summed up like this..we'll never really know the effect until it happens but I would bet it would noticeably increase the price.

That is exactly what I was afraid you were going to say, but thank you for taking the time to lay it all out for me.

  • $4000 CAD is the latest sale. (Approx $3050 USD). November 2nd 2015
  • Yup, on an item like this an impulse buy definitely raises the prices down the road.
  • Dang what? If that stuff can sell for $3000 I'm surprised the zelda twilight princess preview trailer hasn't cracked $1000 yet
  • i think he was price checking an adventure set a few days back, then edited his post and bumped.
  • Don't edit and bump Price Checks, make a new thread.
  • Sorry. I couldn't figure out how to post a new topic
