Hot Dog Eating Champion

I have noticed this game in that unofficial price guide for homebrews 'n' such. Does anyone have a legitimate copy of "Hot Dog Eating Champion"? I would love to see a copy, as I have only heard of it in said thread. Does it exist? You tell me, people.

  • I don't know but in Googling it, I came across a video of a japanese dude against a Kodiak bear in a hot dog eating contest, and it was some of the most entertaining shit I've ever witnessed.

This is not the game, but can you post a link? I would love to see this.

The commentary is great. "But see, the bear is looking away and taking breaks, because he doesn't know it's a competition, he's just a natural..."

Sir, you have given a new meaning to Kobayashi Maru

  • I wonder what that guys bathroom break is like the next morning?
  • I hadn't even heard of this game until like a week ago, now I'm seeing it discussed everywhere.
  • I think some guy named Jerbimmy made it, try PM'ing him.
  • Mofasa is clearly "the" Hot Dog Eating Champ.
  • Wait a second, 44 midgets versus a elephant in plane pulling?! I think the rest of this video is much more important.

Good example of the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon.

I think it's actually an example of a joke starting to gain steam and to actually be repeated more frequently, rather than something that was being talked about suddenly SEEMING to appear more frequently.

Considering that a few months ago, the game/joke/cartridge didn't even exist, it's sort of a demonstration of how things spread by word-of-mouth and how long it takes to get everybody talking about it.

  • Yeah, I was kind of joking about it being an example of Baader-Meinhof.

It's been around for a little longer then a few months, just recently started getting some recognition.

I think there is 18 carts? Too lazy to grab mine but I feel like mine is #12? Mofasa has 3 lol

Sure.  But it's not like it's been underground for years, or something.  It's a recent thing on the timescale of the hobby.

Oh, I'm well aware of the B-M phenomenon, mbd39 lol.

I have to agree with arch_8ngel on this one, though; I'm pretty sure it's just building steam.
  • Only the hot-dogglers know for sure.

Dude im lmao at the video and your statement there.

  • I wonder if any of the folks who snagged these after they were initially released in July or August of 2014 have actually played them, only to feel cheated afterward when they realize they just payed more than twenty dollars for a game based on the Insane Clown Posse with a label on it that features an image of me holding a hot dog. Stranger things have happened, though.

It's an insane Clown Possie themed graphics hack of Super Mario Bros 2. See above post. Kinda pointless really that collectors have been trying to keep it a secret all this time.

Definitely sarcasm/feigned ignorance... though the one PM I received did provide a lot of extra info. Response (actually) coming!
