How many Copies of Super Mario/Duck Hunt do you Have?

Okay, count up all the copies of this game you have, whether its the combo cart, or the individual mario or duck hunt carts. As of right now I have at least six copies of the combo cart, possibly 7 because I have an action set laying around, which probably contains another copy. I don't even want to think about the number of these carts that have passed through my hands over the last couple years, or the number of times I have seen it at flea markets.

  • At present, I believe I have about 4 SMB/DH carts, 4 SMB carts (one of which is a European import, a Control Deck pack-in), and 2, maybe 3 DH carts...
  • I think I've got around 12, all from different regions.
  • One.  The same one I got when I got my NES.
  • I have around 20-25...but I resell them with Nintendos.  The truth about this game, is if I can pick them up for $2 or less I go ahead and buy them because I always get more than that for them.  This actually is not the least valuable Nintendo game.  It will sell on it's on at a low price, but it will sell.  Try selling Duck Hunt (without Super Mario Bros), Bandai Golf, NES Golf, Gyromite (non converter), Operation Wolf, etc. by themselves...those bad boys hardly ever sell...even when you're practically giving them away.

    Me too. image
  • I foolishly tried to sell one recently on ebay to no avail. 99 cents and $3.50 shipping, that's cheap, plus it even included the manual and a nintendo brand dust sleeve. But it is better to sell it around Christmas.
  • I don't even want to count all mine... way too many.... but I do have about 100-125 SMB/DH manuals if anyone needs any. I have identified 6 different variants for the SMB/DH manual and I'm pretty sure I have doubles of all 6 at this point, although I know I only have a couple of a few of the variants so first come first serve.
  • 1 of the SMB/DH, used to have around 7 but sold them off.
  • I have about 650-700

LOL, I was wondering when you'd read this thread -- you were telling me about those the other day and I thought that was hysterical.
  • well, I had upwards of1500 of them. I sold a lot of 100 on ebay and I've sold about 50 individually on ebay. Then I've sold about 400 or so to classicgaminglabs.

I was thinking about handing them out for halloween.

  • How did you get that many?  Also, how did you go about selling them individually on eBay?
  • 1500 lmao...are u serious. how long did it take u to get all of those..
  • technically, it took me one day. I bought out the nes overstock of a local gamestore a little less than a year ago.

As for selling them on ebay. I just list them with a buy it now of $2.99 and they sell. Not much to it image.
  • holy crap.... how many games are there total (it looks loke thousands), u got all of those from 1 store?
  • Where can you find a place like this to buy that many games? I am looking to get a big score like that.
  • ^^who isn't image

  • With that many carts, I would re-tile my floor in the game room!
  • lol... that would actually be kinda cool.
  • I think I ended up with just under 7000 carts. Only about 200 different titles though. And all those boxes are full of hardware. I still havent gone through half of them.
  • I would take them and make a coffe table out of some of them.. that would be pretty cool
  • There's a pawn shop (the location of which I will not disclose here) which I'm seriously thinking of buying out of NES games. They have quite a few multiple copies of games like SMB/DH and SMB 3, but they also have some more interesting stuff, like a blue Bible Adventures, and a few other scarcities and oddities (though most of them have been picked through by now, either by myself or one of a few others)...
  • Bryan,

You just list them for $2.99 BIN and people buy them? How do you list them (do you use a gallery picture). And how much do you charge for shipping? Funny how the most common game ever by far is still able to be sold better than many other games.

  • For us collectors, it's almost an inside joke how common SMB/DH is, but if you consider that it does have one of the most popular games of all time, it's still an easy-to-sell cart. I've been saving mine to put with some systems I'm getting ready to sell, but last year when I had my store open, I used to list them as "NES Nintendo The Original Super Mario Bros. +Bonus" (the bonus being DH) for $4.99 BIN. I remember selling them regularly at that price.
