  • That's amazing! The NES console, controller, zapper, games, tv...wow. Great attention to detail, removable carts, controller and zapper, as well as being able to switch out the screen to display 2 different games. Now that's NES love!  No wonder its on display, this is a great piece of work. Wonder how long it took to make all of that.
  • That is ridiculously cool!

I love the cross stitched Mario 3 map as well.
  • Woah those are sweet. Wish I could sew lol.
  • People like this truly deserve recognition.
  • wow. that must have taken alot of time and patience.. looks awsome.
  • That is amazing.. someone has some serious talent, and some serious free time..
  • I wish I had the time to learn how to do something. I'm impressed.
  • That is really amazing! My friends wife does stuff like this...maybe I should harass her some.

  • Thats pretty cool. I wonder if any will be put on eBay in the future.
  • Some years ago I tried my hand at cross-stitching, of coarse as with most everything I do, it was going to be video game related, I just had to do NES characters. But like most things I didn't stick with it for long, too exhausting, difficult on the eyes, uncooperative clumsy fingers, thread getting tangled, finding out I messed up on something after getting so far only to have to unthread it back to that point and start again (that was really frustrating), and it took forever. While fun and interesting at first, being it was something new for me to do, it took a toll on me, I didn't have the patience for this kinda craft afterall, and these were just small projects. At the time I'd wanted to do something grand, but this was well before having a computer, so any images I had were from Nintendo Power, kinda tough trying to find one where you can see all the pixels, making out the character well enough to duplicate it, but they turned out okay, nothing special, but still a piece of art that I can look back on from time to time. Here's all the cross-stitchings I've done, none are completely accurate, some are unfinished, or I may've messed up on, but all should be recognizable as NES characters, two of them are my own original pieces, me sitting with an NES controller, and the big hermitcrab one.

you may notice the inperfections after stairing at each pixle for so long but i doubt anyon will notice anything to call you out on

as far as the nes at the top though, why does the Smb3 cart play mario/duck hunt on the screen? lol
