Wurm: Journey to the Center of the Earth

Picked this up a few weeks ago along with Sqoon and Krion Conquest but just got the chance to pop it in.

I really enjoy games with the genre mash-ups and this throws at least three in the mix so far. I've made it through level 2 but the difficulty in the shooter stage really amps up. I'd like the control to be a tad better during the platforming parts but I'm getting the hang of it.

Anyone play this before? Any tips or strategies?

  • Yeah I really liked that in the NES days they did a lot of mash-ups in games.

I played this one recently and it's a pretty good game. I like how they reuse the same cut scene after every level lol.
  • it's different. I played a good amount of it not long ago and discovered it's just not my style of game. But then again, I feel the same way about super Mario brothers.
  • I've wanted to play Wurm for a couple months now, as I've heard a few people say good things. This was one of those games I'd never even heard of until this year. Had no idea it ever existed.
  • Yeah I've beaten it. Cool game, it's made by the same guy who made Golgo 13. I remember when playing through it I thought it had a mystical, deeper feel to it. Turns out I was kinda right:

  • I like it. It has a cool style to it also. I really like the story, but I think they could have taken the gameplay a little further.
