    I would encourage you to watch out on the movie/music downloads. It is not unprecedented for schools to be subpoenaed to help prosecute pirates.



    Especially since you now have a static IP address, they know exactly who did the downloading or sharing.

    Yeah, this just happened to my best friends neighbours on campus.

    THey know who is doing it and at 95 GB you are drawing attention to yourself. Especially if that was in 2 hours.

    Well, it wasn't torrents, we have this hub which basically transfers files throughout the Rowan network basically like an intranet. I'm sure there are still logs of everything but that's a chance i'm willing to take image

    At UMD we called it direct connect... maybe it has a different name at your school.

    But yeah I miss getting any file imaginable in a matter of seconds.  Shit was crazy back then, I remember getting smacked and watching a brand new Chappelle episode only to have it appear on DC in like an hour or two!!  And CDs would show up at least a week or two before their actual release date...
