walmart exclusive SNES set cib minty fresh

this thing even has the factory sealed super gameboy still attached to the front. everything on the inside is still in its baggies except the rf switch.

soooo, this is in perfect shape with all baggies except for the rf switch baggie (i will find a baggie to make it perfect). anyone know what one of these is worth?

  • No clue, but it looks sweet...especially the fact that the Super Gameboy is attached. Also, I've never seen that variant, so I'm sure it would fetch a good amount. Just a guess? 200
  • that looks so nice image

i bet 200 aint farfetched image
  • wow, a lot of people have viewed this, but not many have posted anything... anyone else have any clue what this thing is worth or has anyone else even seen this thing before? im not a big snes buff, so i didnt even know this thing existed.
  • ive seen this version a few times, never paid attention to how much they typically go for, but i wouldnt think 200 is to out of reach.
  • not to many people crazy about snes systems at the moment. only way to know for sure is throw it on ebay
  • yea i have no clue about snes stuff, so i will probably just throw this in the room and let it sit there for a few years. im in no rush to sell it. i got that, dkc123 cib, and like 4 other common cib games for $100 total from craigslist. she wouldnt budge on the price, but because of the condition of everything, i couldnt pass it up!
  • dkc 1 2 3 cib alone is near $100 here.. so great deal you got there image
  • blast from the past but I saw this on my shelves. have any of these sold in a while?
  • oh, I do see that one of them sold at BIN for $195 recently... it was in absolute shit condition and didn't have the sealed Gameboy still attached. in a world where condition is everything, and taking into account that one sale doesn't set a market price... especially when the only sale occurred at BIN (no clue how long it sat on ebay either), does anyone want to venture a guess at what this one would sell for? I would put up additional pics, but I do not have it in my possession at the moment.
  • The set without the GB attached in mint shape would go for $200 pretty easily. I paid $150 for mine last year. With it attached it becomes kind of an inigma as your not gonna find much historical data on sales as the GB attached is rare. A sealed Super GB is around $50-$75. The two combined as a rarity I could see this getting to $400. Maybe even more, who knows.
  • I'd agree with that especially as there are alot more collectors and alot more interest in SNES stuff then there was back in '09
  • If I was buying this, I would expect to pay at least $300.00. This is a rare set and you dont see them very often, especially in this shape with the attachment. As VGD said, I would see this going well beyond 200 others have said.

It is a necrobump so those prices were from several years ago to be fair.
  • srh201, when you have a chance could you add additional pictures as you previously mentioned? Has the SNES yellowed after 6 years?

there is absolutely no yellowing. all of the insides are perfect. if this was played (which i assume it was), it couldn't have been played more than a handful of times... hell, they even kept everything in the original baggies inside of the box. it really is in immaculate condition. I don't have any more pics of it, as I don't currently have it with me. I just remembered that I started this thread ages ago and figured it was worth a bump to see what people thought it was worth these days.

it is interesting that no one has seen any of these with an attached Gameboy sell... it seems like snes stuff is much more popular nowadays, so maybe I could get $400 or so for it. not like I am looking to sell, but it's good to know that I could sell it if I needed to

Would you mind pulling that Super Game Boy off? I'm curious as to how it's attached...... just kidding!

I've never seen one attached either. Very interesting. I agree with around 400, maybe more. Completely unused probably double.

Is it possible that it didn't come that way and someone stuck it on after the fact? I guess not cause it wouldn't fit inside. Perpetual mystery.....
  • it was definitely attached there to begin with, but I would like to know how it is attached as well. the shitty condition one on ebay doesn't seem to have any damage to the box where this was attached. do you know if this same super Gameboy came with any other things (ie. not for resale sticker on it). if so, I guess someone could piece this set together by buying each part separately?
  • I feel like someone posted this recently with a sealed gameboy attached. Maybe the thread is still on Na somewhere.

Cant find the thread but im pretty sure someone else had one of these in the last year and was asking about it

Found it... judging by the one that sold on ebay for $195, i am going to NOT go with the pricing in this thread from last year

  • That's what's curious to me to. The Walmart variants that I've seen don't have damage in that spot where the Super Game Boy is, and I haven't seen a glue or damage spot on the back of a Super Game Boy box that looks like it came from off there. Displaying these on the shelves at Walmart would have been tricky.

Weird, they priced it very low for having a sealed gameboy on it. Although personally I think $400 is too high, i would say $250
  • well, until we see one pop up for auction on ebay, I guess we will never know. that buy it now on ebay HAD to be a high buy it now. it was in shit condition and didn't even come with the box for the super game boy (I don't think). i would really like to see one sell on ebay, but i don't want it to be mine! haha.
  • Im just not sure many people collect the different bundles since they take up so much space if they did, and most people would just want one to display. I dont think many people would want it as bad as say the donkey kong or killer instinct bundles.

I would say its worth a mint cib console plus the cost of a sealed super gameboy, so $150-$200 + whatever a sealed super gameboy is worth. You may be better to have a bin than an auction though.
  • Well, Ill gladly buy it for $250 if that means anything. Ill sell mine for $200 and come out pretty good on the deal.
  • If I was still in a collecting / expanding phase (and had room for more consoles, which I do not), this would be worth $250-$350 to me as well.
  • thanks for the help guys. judging by the 1 BIN auction in shit condition, the great condition of this one, and your responses, I am just going to figure that this bad boy would go for $300+ at auction. good to know! I actually think that this is my only boxed snes system, strangely enough!
