I guarantee if this is indeed true, that would be the reason why the game got recalled.

Just popped mine in, lemme see if I can find anything.

There might be nudity in part of Let's Sing 2016, and that's the real reason it was recalled? That actually seems well within the realm of possibility I'll have to check one of my open copies for that, if this is so it would be the Wii equivalent of the Panesian games, and could really add to the notoriety of this title.

Holy shit it's true. I hope it's cool if I post censored screenshots?

Starting to think that it wasn't just mic issues that pulled this one off the shelves...

Wow, so it seems we have nudity confirmation.  I searched out this video online and no matter what site, youtube or otherwise, it was always a non-nude edited version.  Even supposed "Uncensored" versions of the video had no nudity.  This must be the only truely unedited version of the video that exists.  Whoops!  I think we now understand the true reason for the recall.  We now have the only Wii game with nudity in it.

It used to get brought up alot more back in 2013.

    Here's two recent

the second of which used the wrong picture, but had "sports" in the title listing and description.

Of course, there is also a recent auction that went for stupid money.  What the heck?  Who mentioned this that got a handful of people frothing at the mouth?

For anyone after this title, check for it being listed poorly.  There's a much more common 101 in 1 Party Megamix (note the lack of "sports").

Wow, I bought a complete copy of this back in February for $30, and I was afraid that was too high.

But what the hell, $138.50 is ridiculous. I wouldn't pay more than $50 for this thing now.

This game seems to be a lot more common in Canada than the US (I got mine from a Canadian eBay seller). EBGames sells it for $14.99, and it looks like there's a copy available to purchase straight from their website right now. The map search also shows a handful scattered across Canada, specifically Ontario.

Thanks, I just bought it ! Hope it's the correct title.

Looks like they don't ship to the United States.  If anyone wanted to purchase me a copy, I'll pay you back, plus shipping, ect.

  • If noone else helps you out before tonight, i can try to call a few. I'm currently phonless after dropping it into a pool so will have to wait until this evening to steal my wifes away for a bit.

That would be great.  I can't bring myself to pay $100+ that amazon has it.  It seems to be hard to find, but not $100+ hard to find.

Oh, there was an error in product assembly alright.
  • I can also try to track down a 101 in 1 if needed.
  • Update : I have called the EBGame stores near me that were supposed to have a copy of Let's Sing 2016, according to their website, and none of them have it. They all told me it's been recalled and was only available the first week or two after it's release.

    Aw shucks.
  • Interesting mpacz99 I would safely assume the PS4 version would have the same nipple action as well.

Its possible, if anyone has a copy the should check it out.  Only the Wii version was recalled as far as I can tell.  I wouldn't be suprised if the "correct" version of that music video made it into the PS4 version, but it would be interesting to see.
  • Eesh! Now that recall makes WAY more sense. I do love how they state that the disc may not run properly though, so funny.

Funny you mention this because I was wondering the same thing earlier!

The PS4 version wasn't recalled though right?
  • This Amazon Canada review from December also mentions the nudity: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/customer-reviews/R18767LMU99UD8/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B015R3ZNFQ

Definitely the reason it was recalled. I confirmed it's there on my Wii copy earlier.
  • I'll see if I can rent it from game fly on the PS3 and go from there.

  • Lets Sing 2016

    Rated T for Titties
  • Nice sleuth work you 2 (NintendoTwizer + mpacz99)!!! Welp, I am thinking this is a revolutionary finding. And now this title that has a notorious past nearly-year has just gotten all the more interesting. I definitely think it has trumped most other Nintendo debacle's (e.g. Devil's Third), and is definitely going to raise the demand on this one now.
  • I am just going to come out and say it about 101 in 1 Sports. WHAT THE HELL! I am once again floored just at how another Wii game has went haywire. It was brought up last week w/ Ivy the Kiwi and now this title. What will be next? The issues I have with 101 Sports being rare/costly are:

    1. It's an Atlus game, and while Atlus is known for lower print runs and whatnot, they aren't known as just about impossible to find a copy.

    2. The identical port on DS sells for $5 new and is not uncommon.

    3. The sequel/prequel 101 in 1 (no sports in title) is a dirt cheap game by Atlus for both Wii and DS.

    4. When I bought this new 2-4 years ago, it was not recognizable as anything out of the ordinary. No different than any other average shovelware title on the Wii. Granted it's Atlus and Atlus isn't known for shovelware... but still, I played the first one in the series and this stuff is shovelware.

Gosh, I remember when Korinrinpa: Marble Mania was considered the "rarest" game on Wii. Boy, how the library has and is evolving!
  • Just received my 101 in 1 Sports Party Mix delivered to my door. It's the correct title, it's complete and in great shape. Very happy about that.

I lurk here from time to time but as a collector this topic has been on my mind a lot lately so I registered to chime in after reading most of the posts. I see this particular game quite frequently in Southern Ontario, I've seen maybe 5 or so in the past several weeks for example. Ebgames (Gamestop) is still asking $19.99 for this, I've picked a few up as there are none on ebay and it might be good trade bait down the line, but will anyone really want this badly enough to make it valueable? There are so many games though that sold less than 50k in NA so it's hard to say what is rare or will be rare and sought after. Are there really that many people going for a complete set that will want GTI or moreso Let's Sing, or is it more of a mystique about being the last game sold on the system and the conditions surrounding it's recall. I've got about 400 games of the set just from yard sales and visiting game stores the past few years, but collecting a full set seems daunting at about 1200 or so games. Are people going to shell out hundreds of dollars on expensive shovelware just to have the full Wii set? At least other systems that have expensive games are usually worth playing. Side note: I lucked into several copies of Let's Sing 2016 today for the Wii for below original store retail, I'll be pretty happy if they end up being worth anything in a year or two but I'm not counting on it lol

  • Hi koko, welcome to nintendoage! This is definitely thee thread to discuss rare wii games. I was unaware that gti club is a rare title. I am sure in years to come many more titles will become desirable for collectors. While its too early to say the longterm projections of wii set collecting, there are several people already trying or doing that: myself, nintendotwizer, dreamtr, questwyn, and kacy da game nerd. I am sure others will join the list in time to come but make no mistake about it, the wii is a nintendo system and sold very well, so it has or will have a nostalgic thing going for it.

I find it hard to put Lets Sing 2016 that high though as they seem to be obtainable and more keep popping up. At this point, I think I'd still put Crash Car Racer and maybe even Sprint Cars ahead of it. It's really hard to tell though as lots of people are searching for / selling Lets Sing, while the others have kind of fallen by the wayside atm.

Crash Car and Sprint Cars are both indeed rare, but I think Super Karts is the toughest of the 8

Okay, I need to bite. Are there 8 Maximum Racing games? I only acquired 7 and thought that was all of them. Maybe I'm forgetting about one. I was also tracking them pretty extensively in 2014 and 2015 and would take cross sectional data at points throughout the year to see how many copies were available on ebay and amazon at a given time. Here's what I came up with:

    Title                              # in 14      # in 15      Total

    Crash Car                      4               1               5

    Drag & Stock                 12             9                21

    GP Classic                     14             19              33

    Rally Racer                    9               12             21

    Sprint Cars                    2               4                6

    Super Karts                   7               7               14

    Super Truck Racer          6                5               11

From those two years, Sprint Cars and Crash Car Racer were easily rarer than the other titles. Taking a quick peak at ebay and amazon right now shows that super karts has less available than the other two currently. Obviously the Wii is still pretty "up in the air" as far as rarities and things start becoming clearer as titles settle.
  • I just wanted to note the following listing for Lucha Libre, which is at least the third copy (I bought one direct, he sold another at a $150 BIN, there's this listing, either of which may be the other copy he indicated to me that he had) the seller has had, and who seems to be the only source for this title:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/LUCHA-LIBRE-HEROES-DEL-RING-AAA-Wii-Mexico-Exclusive-used-game-good-condition-/152173692468?hash=item236e424634:g:E4wAAOSwZVlXjnCs

...it's the first (to my knowledge) auction listing and only the second Ebay listing. That I've seen, at any rate. Those of us keeping track of what these are going for should find the results very interesting. It ends in exactly six days from now.
  • robbie you`re missing Kart Racer and Truck Racer. From my experience neither of those are too tough to find though, but it could be an area thing. We`re still not so far removed from the Wii generation, things haven`t settled enough to really know. That`s probably important for people dropping huge bucks to keep in mind. I am going to agree that Super Karts doesn`t seem that rare. It (and Super Truck) was in stock abundantly last year through amazon.com. And for quite cheap too. They are both still obtainable through amazon as well, just not quite as abundant.
  • I believe there are nine. (On phone, having troubles posting a pic)

  • ah, I never included truck racer or kart racer because I never considered the NA releases to be maximum racing games (because they aren't I guess). They were either maximum family or VP Games. I guess it's just semantics at some point  .

Yeah true, just semantics. They fit in the family well though. All crappy racing games. They do all have the "Maximum Family Games" logo on the back as well..
  • Not sure where games go after they get recalled back but "rescued" a stack of these recently, athough from what I've been told from a friend in the industry games are usually destroyed then dumped. My buddy out in western Canada has a relative that owns a game store. They were sending these back to their supplier due to the recall and the fact they never sold on the shelves and he thought of me. Got these well below retail which is awesome because they are hard to find anywhere lol. Now to decide if I play the long game and stash these away for 10 years and make a minor gamble the price will go up, or trade them locally for stuff I need
  • This is the problem with modern rarity. No one saved Stadium Events. Now people think when something is recalled, Better stock up. Sell while the market is high.
