So yeah... after each dungeon in Runes of Virtue 2 you have to escort the lord back to his town. Except one of the later ones belongs to an island town. And the only way to get to the island is hijacking a pirate ship. Except if he dies trying to get the ship (which he will, because the AI is nonexistant) you get to do the whole damn dungeon again for a shot to retrieve him again. And another shot at his stupid ass dying to the pirates.
I finally broke thru Breakthru! I couldn't find an instruction manual online after a few minutes of googling, so I had to figure out a few things through a lot of messing up. Once I got it worked out, it became a pretty enjoyable little puzzler. Completion conditions are to make it through 24 levels, then it loops. So here's the end of the 24th level, before it started me over at Berlin again, with a 2 in the box where there's currently a 1. It's sitting there paused, I'll play another 24 rounds to see if anything more exciting happens.
And now to finish off the double header, Harvest Moon. Not sure how many endings there are, and I don't remember particulars of ones I've gotten in the past, but this one seemed goodish.
It's been awhile but I fired up Lost Vikings II again and made good progress. Man it is a whole heck of alot easier than the first game. I think I only have 5 stages left at this point. Hoping to finish it tomorrow so I can play No Man's Sky the rest of the week.
I did beat Lost Vikings II last night but didn't get a chance to post till now.
Another game worth playing! Just as good as the first game, and a little easier to boot. Hard to say which one i like better, though it was nice the second game didn't one hit kill you every level at the end unlike the first game.
Not sure whats next..... Maybe I'll attempt Jim Powers some more, or some other random green title.
I played around with Dungeon Master a bit last night, but couldn't make heads or tails of some of the interface stuff. I think I'd probably hold off until I had a manual as this point
And I'd probably print some maps too, since I ain't busting out the graphing paper
I've beat Bubsy a number of times. You can get passwords, and the gameplay itself isn't terrible, but there are a number of frustrating things about the level design, especially getting one shot by ranged attacks you barely have time to register if you're moving with any speed.
Yea I played the game a lot growing up but never beat it. I remember always quitting due to anger and impatience so I'll attempt to keep my cool this time around. I know I've been close before so we will see.
NCAA Final Four Basketball done. First time I've thrown a controller in a long time. Such a terrible, terrible game. Anyone QA this shit and think, "hmm, maybe the passing could use some work"?
Every basketball game other than the Live series (and maybe the Jam series) on SNES is just such complete utter garbage
Man, started QBert 3, but after checking some videos it looks like this thing goes on for 26 sets of levels. As far as I know you always have unlimited continues, but that is crazy. So that's going back on the shelf; perhaps I'll give it a go next year
I beat Revolution X about 10 minutes ago. That final boss ended up being way more gorey than I thought it would.
Pretty mediocre game for the most part but had some interesting ideas like adjusting the speed of your car in the bus lvl (even though it felt like it didnt work half the time.) Good thing I like the song Rag Doll since you hear it a bunch of times within the game. Also the part where Steven Tyler throws you the keys to Aerosmith's car through a TV screen is just brillant.

And the dungeons reset each time.
What. The. Fuck.
It's blowing my mind how badly designed this is. I have literally made negative progress tonight

lol I may have if I hadn't worked through it with my 7 year old.
50+ games over the previous record
9 games away from 50% clear
Lots of milestones being established, and I'll only have to manually sort 10s, 9s, and most of the 8s for next year now
Also nearly done with Harvest Moon as I just need to grind through the last few seasons. I'm hoping to finish both tonight since my wife will be out
Last couple of dungeons were a marathon, but finally done. It's pretty impressive that this was a Game Boy game.

Probably leaning towards one of the last two, since i'm unfamiliar with them
(Or maybe not all the NPCs, just the ones who tell you how to get into places...)

That ties you with Andy for 7th all-time, and one game away from tying Wiz
