I'll try to review some longplays later tonight if we need to make a ruling here

Yeah, what I got was something along the lines of "try higher difficulty."  With bad Engrish because Japan.

  • Decided to take it light today but do some gaming and revisit one of my favourite SNES games from my teenager years, The Rocketeer (mostly due to the crush I had on Cliff Secord, which Billy Campbell portrayed quite masterfully >.> ), but damn, it is much, MUCH worse game than I remember.

But alas, it is done. Such a great super hero, such a pitiful game.

    Edit:

How the eff no one has beaten Top Gear so far?
  • Oh shit, here comes Bea...we may just finish this list off after all!
  • Oh please.

You say as if I could beat more than a hundred games in an year.

I am pretty bad at most SNES games, so don't expect any miracles coming from me.
  • Maybe, but then again you're the only person I know that's finished Super Sprint, and you beat Rolling Thunder on a whim fairly regularly...and you finished The Mutant Virus in record time (took me a bloody week with the system on pause). If you're even half as good on the SNES as you are on the NES, there's still hope
  • Nice job Bea. I suffered through that game last year and made it to the final level. Then Timothy Dalton knocked me off the blimp repeatedly until I game over'd. Vowed to never play it again after that.
  • Top Gear is handled too.
  • Dang, you guys are plowing through some of these. Wish I could be more help, but I'm stuck on fan translations still, or the US ones I've completed have already been checked off. Maybe I'll shoot for next year to contribute more, or go for a couple of the RPGs if they are still on the list after I try Romancing Saga. That may be a short trial from what I've heard, ha!
  • That officially puts us past the 50% mark. Now to reach 400 games...
  • just beat magic sword about to upload the play through now.
  • Damn you guys are on a roll

I tried both Top Gear and Magic Sword this year, but I'm weak and didn't stick with either one
  • Magic Sword is an awesome, fun game.

    Well done, Zredgemz.

Thanks, uploading now gonna take about 40 mins. Magic sword is a lot of fun, the slow downs and minus the two player mode are its only drawbacks.

  • I will take one for the team this week and work on Ninja Gaiden Trilogy.
  • Good luck, i have never beaten the first game on that yet. I need to try it again and learn the enemy patterns.
  • Thanks, I would if I owned it. Always wanted to beat those games.
  • I'd much rather play the NES versions, but it is just not the same thing.

Input is so much more responsive on the NES than on the SNES ports of the games, so this has to be done on the SNES. And it will be a major pain.
  • Should Ninja Gaiden Trilogy be worth 5 points instead of 1 point? That's the combined points of all three games on the NES thread. I beat Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3 for that thread.

I don't even like to remember that. It was so painful to spend hours in the game to loop it just to prove that it didn't have an ending at stage 86.

I haven't played it since I did that, back in... 2011, I think. Just looking at Super Sprint makes my fingers hurt.

As for the point value for Ninja Gaiden Trilogy here, I believe the thread follows the same point assigment rule as the NES one, and NGT has been beaten pretty early on in the last years, most likely, so it is a 1 point game.

  • A 3 gb upload takes forever on youtube and the processing does as well, as you guys can see i made a few errors but its been a long while since i beaten the game.

I am surpised my 8bitdo sfc30 lasted as long as it did, the battery life has gone past 35 hours. I just got the red light as the credit's started rolling.

Nope, everything is based on a formula.  It will probably drop to at least a 2 next year.

  • Nearly done.  Don't think I'll ever play a hockey game again

  • Tried to play Hammerlock and Natsume Wrestling and yeah... maybe its because I don't know anything about wrestling or wrestling games, but the "gameplay" in those makes absolutely no sense to me. I can't even get close to beating the first opponent.
  • I may practice a bit on metal warriors, i think it is still up for grabs. I dunno if i can do it, the giant worm in the destroyed city is tough.
  • Its definitely up for grabs; it has never been beaten (for this thread)

7 games away from my Stanley Cup
  • I have beaten Ninja Gaiden on Ninja Gaiden Trilogy last night.

Onto Ninja Gaiden 2... This will be... challenging. Input is definitely off on this port.

Oh no, its 7 games exactly.  I have 3 conference finals games left, then the championship.

Seeing as how I'm currently 84-0-7, and I started out 4-0-6, I'm fairly confident in two more sweeps.  Though St. Louis did give me a scare in game 2 racing out to a 2-0 lead.

  • Super Valis IV done.  Was easier this time.  And by that I mean the boss rush only took me 45 minutes and I only yelled at the TV once.
