Looking for a game

I need some help finding a game. I played it many years ago and as of yet haven't found it. The best I can do in describing it is this. you control a robot in a side scrolling format type game. I don't remember much about the levels but I do remember it has a two player mode in which you fight against each other. you can choose from at least three different robots in this mode with one of them being able to cloak, as well you can also exit the robot and fight as just a human. However flying around as a human is usless except if your shooting at the player twos human. Thanks for the help.
